Nice, just saw a youtube video on it. Looks promising.

So is that date only for xbox elite premium users? Or will all premium users be able to get it on that date.

I only ask b/c I remember xbox would always get the map packs a month before PS3, but those were map packs and this is slightly different since it's with elite.

Xbox only. PS3 is a month behind on everything.

I'm def looking forward to some new maps, although I'm finally feeling like I'm getting the hang of the stock ones. The only one I truly dislike is bakaraa, I think it just has a shit design. In general I dont find them poorly designed, just over designed. There's no simplicity to it where you can just feel like you understand the essence of each map, it always comes down to the nuance of the particular room or part of the map you're in. I'm hoping they got a little more practiced in map design since launch. I def feel like the blops DLC were on the whole better than the stock maps, so it could happen.

Picked up MW3 after finally playing MW2 online during the free XBOX live month. I must say I'm disappointed so far. It took me while to completely figure out the MW2 maps, but these MW3 maps are awful. I also don't enjoy the gameplay as much. In terms of the weapons, MW2 had a more realistic feel to me, but MW3 reminds me of the weapons from CS:S and I'm not impressed. Also, I guess because there's less people playing MW2 right now, I feel like I encountered less campers in that game.

Also, did they weaken the grenade launcher attachment? It seems pretty worthless in MW3, especially compared to MW2.

Yeah, the launcher is weaker in this game. It sucks that you have to kill people with bullets instead of just launching tubes everywhere.

That blows. It sucks that I can't just launch a tube in the air from point A to point C and get to my predator right away from noobs trying to capture a flag.

I agree, I have had to learn how to skillfully kill people. No more launching. Damn IW!

I remember while playing blops, I went back to MW2 and was crazy frustated with the noob tube in the air tactic. Went back to blops, and almost forgot that I could cap flags right away... haha.

Never used the noob tube in the sky trick/exploit y'all are freaking out over. It's a useful attachment to your weapon. No more, no less. Seems to really rile up the champs here though...

Yup, in HC, the grenade launcher definitely is a one shot kill in most cases.

If you are going for the grenade launcher challenges (and/or the under mount shotgun challenge), then play HQ. So much easier to kill people and get credit for the challenges.

Never use the noob tube. I play a lot of dom and I cant stand how much it is used but laugh when I get easy kills on people using the tube!

Not gonna lie, I use the crap out of FMG9's. I tend to use the M4 as my main AR on most maps.

Bakarra is an exception, MSR is my go to. I play a few other maps with different guns like Dome is PP90m with rapid fire and extended mags.

HC is the best place to use launchers and underbarrel shotguns.

Havent played in a week or so but now I just might tonight.

By the way the Italy map looks in the video they released, it reminds be of Favala in MW2 with the different levels and routes and what not. Looks like this first release could be a good one.

I'm on 5th prestige level 58 or so. I haven't had much time to play lately.

The prestige icons don't look that good this game. I think I liked MW2 ones better.

I d/led it onto my iPad but was kinda disappointed they didn't have an HD version for iPad.

Still though, it seems like a pretty handy app. Doesn't have all the features you can find on the main website, but it does show a lot of stuff for a mobile phone.

Yeah, it ain't bad. It's a good start. Hopefully it sees some updates to add missing features in. There's nothing on the site that isn't technically doable in the console or mobile apps, but they're just not treated as equals. There's absolutely none of the social stuff in the app - its just a small subset of the stuff under the career tab.

Overall I think elite on the web, console and app is a failure in one simple way - its too slow. Every single action you take is met by some sort of loading indicator. It takes forever to do or look up the most simple things, to the point where it's just not a good experience. The idea is way, way ahead of the execution.

Yeah, it's slow and MESSY.

It's like their's too many "menus". To the left, up top, on the right, etc etc. It's not intuitive in my opinion. If i'm looking for a specific feature, nothing in the menus really "jumps out" at me telling me that I should go here or there.

Plus, the time played never seems to be updated correctly. I have nearly 5 days played and it only shows like 36 hours total played.
