I think this series will be a lot tougher than some people think. But I still see the Spurs taking it in 6.

nah, they did a great job on duncan again holding him to 12pts through 3 quarters and change, it was only when they went dead on offensive did sa come back. nets have a great chance w/their defense, plus how many more times can jackson/kerr go off like that again?

My after the series prediction: Spurs sign Jason Kidd and NJ never makes it back to the finals again (well in the next 5 years anyway).

Bradley and Nowitzki were hurt most of the Spurs series. That left La Frentz, 6'11", as Dallas tallest player. Behind him were 6'8" players Najera and Walt Williams, who are both natural small fowards. They played midget ball because they had no other choice. It almost worked until the veteran Kerr came in and showed the newbies Parker and Ginobli how playoff basketball is supposed to be played Honestly if the Spurs didn't have Kerr step it up last night, we might be going to a game 7. But as I predicted, SA won it in 6

Spurs in 6. I think their bench is better than NJ's, and that'll be the deciding factor, IMO. K-Mart better be very careful not to get into foul trouble trying to guard Duncan.

However, I will be rooting for NJ

I agree. The Spurs bench has been incredibly important to them in the Playoffs. I don't feel that the Spurs have brought it all together for 4 quarters in one game in these playoffs, even with the crushing of the Lakers. If the Spurs can bring it together.... NJ is going to have a hell of a time. I think this will be a bunch of close games, but Spurs in 6. Don't underestimate NJ.

Being a Dallas fan, I wouldn't want them to sign Kidd. I am just going by the rumors heard on many different sports outlets (including ESPN). Apparently the Spurs front office is really high on Kidd. The current rumor has a three man rotation of Jackson, Parker, and Kidd much like Dallas has with Nash, Finley, and Van Exel. Kidd would start (like Nash), Jackson at SG (like Finley), and Parker would get significant minutes off the bench playing both guard positions (like Van Exel). Like I said, I hope it doesn't happen being a Dallas Mav fan.

Let's look at it this way. The Mavs are the best run and gun team in the league. San Antonio beat them. New Jersey is another run and gun team, but not as good as the Mavs so San Antonio will easily beat them.

I bet all these NJ fans are just praying every night for the Nets to win so that they can bragg to everyone else about how they were wrong thinking Spurs would win. lol.

You did realize Tim Duncan got shutdown ... and they basically had no offense. They took a gamble on Kerr and it paid off.

Whose your team ? Tim Duncan is better than anyone the nets have, plus Malik Rose is probably than 3/4 of the players on the nets roster, i dont like the spurs im speaking facts that they will smoke them.

You do realize Tim Duncan can't do much when he gets doubled. Sadly Mavs with their so so defense shut down duncan with their midget ball.
What does that tell you ? He isn't impossible to guard. And Nets do have big guys that can play Duncan.
