That?s so funny. I go to Tech and when all my friends were doing their brackets a number of them made a serious bracket and then another with Duke v Tech in the finals just for fun, we all got a good laugh out of it....

Who would have thought they would actually make it all the way to the finals!!!

Once again the almighty college basketball God of Coach K is outcoached by Jim Calhoun. I'm a UConn fan and was happy to see it, but Coach K owes every Duke fan an apology over that braindead performance. With nobody on the floor who stood a chance of stopping Okafor in the last 5 minutes, why on earth did he not go the the "Whack-a-Shaq" method of defense? UConn's only weakness is freethrow shooting and Okafor barely hits 50%. All Duke needed to do was foul him every time he smelled the ball and he would have bricked UConn into the grave. Instead Duke tried to stop him with a bunch of JuCo rejects down the stretch and paid the price. Maybe it's time to stop worshipping Coach K as the successor to John Wooden. The old Wizard of Westwood would not have made that mistake.

Background Story:

So the shady sales manager comes in our room 2 weeks ago, "we're having a pool for the Sweet 16, $10, you in?" Guy that sits next to me split a ticket. Teams are drawn out of a hat. Little later he comes in and says draw. I ask if any good teams are left, he says yeah. As I reach in, I say, "I hope I get someone good, like U-Conn". And sure enough, I draw em.

Little later I go to chat about it and ask, "So who got the Dukies?"......I wasn't surprised when he replied, "I did". He then offers to trade and I resist the urge.

So fast forward to a week ago, I went behind the wife's back, threw a DVD burner on the Visa......one more win for UC, and I'm in the clear baby!

That was pretty pathetic. I knew Williams was going to foul out, but hell Ojafor sits for all but 2 minutes of the first half and in that time you get all 3 of your centers in foul trouble. That was truly a pathetic performance. UConn did not win this game, Duke gave it away. They played absolutely horrible games the past 3 and was able to get away with it against Xavier and Illinois, but UConn was just too good.

I mean how hard is it to set picks for Reddick and Ewing? How hard is it to make a friggin layup? How hard is it for centers to not reach in? How hard is it for Duhon to take the ball to the hoop when he is guarded by a man with 4 fouls? An absolutely crappy game by the Dookies and I'm glad they lost.

Uhh...whenever we turn on the radio and watch the game at the same time, the radio is ahead by 1-3 seconds. Is that not just from the way it is being broadcasted? I didnt think it was "tape delay".

It must have been tape delayed, b/c the radio is usually behind real time or exact real time... I've never heard of radio being ahead of the game though.

When you say tape delay, what kind of difference in time are you talking about. For us, it was literally only 1-2 seconds behind the radio. How is that tape delay?

how can they stay disciplined when every time they touched okafor they got whistled for a foul? some of the fouls were legit, but you're an idiot if you can't see that half of them were ticky tack garbage that should never have been called. uconn flat out didn't deserve to win that game, they were pathetic. duke could have prevented it by scoring just 1 god damn basket in that final 3 minutes but no...
