Good job making this thread this soon.

I think Indy is going to have their hands full. Saints are going to need to beat on Peyton even harder than they did Favre.

Colts, hands down.

I wanted the Vikings to go to the super bowl and win it though :\

It will be a good, tough game. If the Saints play like they did today, however, the Colts will beat them soundly. I don't necessarily expect that to happen, however.

just seeing Brett Favre ruin the queens chances as he did for the packers for so many years makes me happy inside...

It is going to be an entertaining game...I am voting COLTS!

It comes down to Indy's defense. If they play as well as the Vikings' defense played, they should do well.

I pick Saints. I think they just played the best defense they will play this season, and came up ahead. Somehow. If the Saints are able to perform well on offense, I'll take Brees over Manning.

Incidentally, that clown commercial was killing me. That was just hysterical.

Colts. Saints defense got gashed numerous times today. The Vikings should've blown out the Saints if they didn't have butterfingers.

The Jets were the #1 pass defense and scoring defense. Peyton & Colts carved them up for close to 400 yards and put up 30 points. double their regular season avg in both categories.

Saints have the same problem the Jets had. After Sharper who do they really have. Sharper can't be everywhere. Peyton will just go to Garcon or Collie if they clamp down on Wayne and Clark.

The Colts defense also turned it on too. Allowing only about 85 rushing yards the last two games. They've been giving up 125 yards in the regular reason.

No Bob Sanders too. More reason why I see him getting cut or being told take a pay cut.

Frankly, I don't care who wins. (Yes, I'm serious.) I'm just glad to finally get there.

No brainer ........ Colts by 14

If the Saints play like they did yesterday, the Colts will beat them badly. Saints will have to play much better, particularly on offense, to stay with the Colts.

However, I would be SHOCKED if we see the Saints play like that again. I mean, Minnesota turned the ball over what -- 5 or 6 times -- and the Saints had to go to OT to beat them? Seriously, that would worry me if I were a Saints fan. The good news for them is that I think it was just a bad game for them and they will play much better.

The game will come down, in my opinion, to the Colts D vs. the Saints O. The Colts are going to put up points on the Saints and will likely adjust (unlike the Vikings) to any pressure the Saints bring. The Jets brought heavy pressure to open the game and the Colts adjusted by the end of the first half and carved them up like a Thanksgiving turkey.

In all likelihood, it will be a shootout and might come down to the team who has the ball last. I just hope that is the Colts.

I'm picking Saints because any other result is unacceptable, but the Colts certainly have the tools to beat them. The Saints have to bring more on offense than they brought against Minnesota. I really felt they were soundly outplayed by Minnesota on all fronts but turnovers. Turnovers ARE part of football though, and all but one of them were generated by the Saints D intentionally going for the ball when tackling and for interceptions.

Favre shook off the punishment he was getting pretty well and I think Peyton's not going to be as susceptible to rattling as Favre was. Trying to lay licks on him every play will probably just generate a whole lot of personal fouls given how fast he releases the ball. The secondary will have to step up and knock down some balls.

Most importantly, the offense can't be stagnant like they were against the Vikes and a few other teams this year. With the Saints you can tell when things aren't quite clicking as smoothly as they should and yesterday felt like that. As many yards as they gave up, the defense still won that game with possessions and field position. I don't think turnovers will come as easy and often against the Colts. The O has to be able to stand on its own.

I pick the Colts. I think they have a more well rounded team than the Saints. Also, if the Saints play in the big game like they did against the Vikings the Colts will destroy them.

That being said I think it will be a close game as long as the right Saints team shows up

With what the Colts defense did to Baltimore and the Jets, I say Colts. I won't jinx my team and say they'll win. Just that their D has REALLY stepped up the last few games, effectively winning it for the team like they have most of the season.

Combine a nice defense with an offense like manning/collie/clark/wayne/garcon - I'd say the Colts have the edge. Any given sunday though.
