A big Congratz to my fellow Boilermakers Drew Brees!!! Well deserved win and MVP. Al this couldn't happen to a nicer guy and a better person. Very happy for him, the team and the city of New Orlean.

4 MVP's for 9-9 (.500) playoff record. So many more deserving players got robbed, again, because of media love affair with "Mr. Clutch" aka "I throw pick 6's on game winning drives".

And please, spare me his regular season heroics, they mean nothing.

Lack of class alert! Manning didn't even attempt to shake hands with any of the saints players; not that I expect the Manning ballwashing brigade to care.

That's too bad if that happened (I turned it off). He needs to man up and properly congratulate the winner -- after all, this is Indy, not New England.

Totally agree. Manning had decent stats during the regular season, but Chris Johnson definitely should have gotten it. If setting the single-season record for yards from scrimmage isn't enough to get MVP, then there's something wrong with the process.

No, luck in that they beat a team barely that had 7 turnovers. Luck that the Colts played a pathetic game. Luck on a bounce on an on-sides kick. I really don't care about either team, but I just don't have any respect for the Saints or their so called accomplishment.

The onside kick wasn't luck -- Hank Baskett has awful hands. At least he gets to go back to Kendra tonight. They need to cut him loose after this season and I'm sure will, since Gonzo should be back.

Do me a favor. Read what the MVP award is for and then come back and explain to us how playoff performance is accounted for in the MVP vote mix.

Who dat!

Easy breesy MVPeezy!

Really glad to see the Saints win. They did a great job. Especially Brees and the kicker (who's name escapes me). Also Colston had a good game after that first awful drop in the first quarter.

Best commercial = Letterman, Leno, and Oprah

Sucks the Cowboys weren't in it. I'm still disgusted by their loss 3 weeks ago I barely enjoyed the game.

Its what happens when you play on a bad team. Do you honestly think the Vikings should've gotten that many pro bowlers. Yes I realize the fans vote but the AP people are just like you and me. they watch the games the follow it but get sucked up into the hype as well.

Marshall Faulk didn't get the MVP award when he broke the yards from scrimmage either. They gave it to Kurt Warner instead.

a players reputation + position also plays into it. Most of the winners are QBs. Only a handful of RBs are MVPs.

the Year Barry Sanders set the yards from scrimmage record he had to share the award with Brett. Who's numbers weren't exactly great, but the Packers were 13-3.

The Saint's fans can now celebrate by taring down Burbon Street and rebuilding it again.

Helluva game. I was actually surprised that the Saints managed to pull it off...but by damn, they did.

WHO DAT!!

The loss certainly can't be blamed on Peyton's interception throw, (although the interception and run-back for a score made a huge difference) it was a combination of lackluster performance by the Colts's defense, on some great heads-up performance by the Saints' offense and tough defense that kept Peyton from completing passes like he usually does, plus "a few" good throws by Brees.

GREAT GAME!!

funny huh. What better way to celebrate a championship win by local team in which your tax dollar probably funded their arena/stadium and facilities by trashing your city.

you mean the scar on the right cheek below the eye? its a birthmark he had removed that left scaring. At least that's what I've read over the years. Or it is just a birthmark.

For sure though it wasn't some cut.

I'm so happy right now. Peyton's pick was huge, no matter what Caldwell or anyone else says. I can't believe he fucked that up.

So the Saints can't have a bad game and win?

Using your same logic

The Saints would have decimated the Vikes if they were playing their A-game. Since they had a shitty game they only won in OT.

And what if the Vikings were on their A game? You don't think all those turn overs and specifically the int at the end didn't help the saints?
