And Baltimore won't be there for long. They seem to be the team who will be destroyed by injury this year. Houston is going to take out a lot of frustration on them next weekend.
They're already 5-1. It's going to be difficult for them to skid badly enough to wind up under .500 on the season. They do face the Texans next week but after that they have the Browns and the Raiders.
The AFC is such a mess right now that it's impossible to count any team in or out of the playoff hunt.

LOLOLOL, eat it Chargers!
Firing Castillo makes pretty much no sense. Yeah, the numbers (tackles, sacks, ints) were down this year, but the defense actually played really well for pretty much all of the first 6 games. I think they're ranked in the upper half of the league. The offense, however, is ranked in the bottom few. If anyone should be fired it's Marty Mornhinweg.
This just seems like a blatant flailing move to try to save Reid's job. What really needs to happen is:
1. Fix the offensive line. You can't really bring anybody in this season that would be an upgrade, so you need to change your scheme to work with what you've got.
2. Run the ball. If outside runs aren't working, run it inside. Don't continue trying to find the edge when your o-linemen are consistently getting beat on the outside.
3. Throw short passes and screens. This helps your o-line, as some of the front 7 on the defense need to hold back a little.
4. Figure out what's wrong with Vick. He's fumbling constantly and making some pretty poor throws. I realize that getting smashed on every play has an effect on a QB. This is why you call more short passes/screens/runs to make the defense back off. Work up some more bootlegs and plays to get Vick out of the pocket.
Which of these will actually happen? We all know #2 isn't happening. #1 takes a whole lot of scheming, though, and collaboration by your o-line coach, OC, and head coach. Your whole offense has to buy into it. With the crazy firing of Castillo, I don't think everyone is going to be onboard, so there will be issues with this. #3 is entirely on the OC/Reid. They've never really seemed like the types that can adjust playcalling though, so I don't have much faith. I don't think #4 will get much time either. I think everyone is scared of a house cleaning at the end of the season, so Vick will be on a very short leash. Foles will start at some point this season and do the typical rookie thing (fumbles, ints, bad throws).
8-8 season, Reid fired, Vick released. Next year's team will probably look much different.
Well according to Reid there are more moves to come, so we'll see. All I know is that after 14 years (almost half of my life and pretty much my ENTIRE life as a sports enthusist) this arrogant, condescending, pig-headed coach has single-handedly caused me to root AGAINST this team that I use to love so much. That's right, I'm glad when they lose now because they are so obviously not good enough to go all the way, and watching them in the regular season is physically draining because of the play-calling. So I've come to the conclusion that rooting for full-blown change is all that is left, as hard as it may be. I'm just DONE with this coach, get him out NOW.
hey hey hey! you stay over there in your land of flat, boring cornfields.
What I don't understand about the Eagles is why they are not rushing Lesean McCoy more? It is simple math on paper, in games they have won this season he has been averaging 23 carries per game, in losing games 14 carries per game.
Maybe this will be the year AJ Smith and Turner finally get canned. I hope not, because they do provide endless laughs especially since Jack "Il Sung" Del Rio was shitcanned from the Jags.

October 16, 2012 Cardinals QB Kevin Kolb will be unable to play Sunday vs Minnesota and is expected to be out several weeks after he had multiple ribs detach from his sternum as well as suffering a sprained sternoclavicular joint in his chest area against the Buffalo Bills this past Sunday, according to a team source. Kolb has been battered in recent weeks, absorbing 23 sacks in the past three games alone.
Is it just me, or do you kind of grab your chest with that sympathetic pain reflex when you hear the words "multiple ribs detach from his sternum"?
Manning is > *
Fixt that for you, foo.
Unfortunately for you, AMDZen is right. Manning >>> *, especially Brady.
Honestly the defense, imo looked good, there's only so many times you can ask them to stop the other team after a turn over and they are inside your 35yard line. Can't wait for tonights game! I did not see the 49'ers get their asses handed too them courtesy of the Giants last Sunday, but it sounded like it was a very physical game. Can any of the niners fans tell me if they are beat up at all or have any key injuries?
Seahawks survived the Patriots relatively unscathed, should be a great, but low scoring game so look for a 35-31 Seahawks victory! I do worry that the niners will be pissed and out for blood, almost wished they beat NY on Sunday.

Our O looked like 100% SHIT, the score showed it. Aykers missed 1 gimmie FG and another longer one. But we had to dump the run game early due to the turn overs and Alex just simply doesn't stretch the field and the G-men were all over the short passes.
