I dont have twist into any position, as the play stands everything is legit. If you want to argue a subjective call thats fine, but no calls or even bad calls are a part of the game. If this was the first time a no call or bad call happened in a game I could understand being shocked, but stuff like this happens literally every week. What else in the game do you want changed so your team can get a win?

He doesn't even care if the Lions won. It's his irrational hatred for the Seahawks. Its obvious cause is the internal conflict he feels due to them being such a virtuous group of people. They stand in stark contrast to the Patriots. If he accepts this, he'll be much happier. As it says in the I Ching:

"Thus the superior man:
If he sees good, he imitates it;
If he has faults, he rids himself of them."

edit: I see what you're saying, that's why the rule is there. So make it if the offense recovers it goes back to the point of fumble, just like if it went out of bounds.

Edit based on your edit:
That's a fair solution. edit: nevermind. lol. today's been a long day.

Considering how few people understand the rule, it's more probable than not.

Regardless I think we can all agree missing a call is very different than not knowing the rule and calling (or not) a foul because of it.

I'm not sure there is much of a difference between not being in position and missing a call and not calling a penalty because the ref doesnt think its relevant or they are "letting them play". One thing thats consistent in that game was that the refs didnt call a lot of penalties.

I actually do wonder how many times the refs either dont know or misinterpret the rules. You see refs confer all the time and change their minds. And CBS has a former big time ref as their consultant, and he is wrong at least half the time. The one on Fox usually seems to get it right, but sometimes you even hear him say he would have let this or that go.

But if you go down the road of thinking a call or no call is for the benefit of a particular team, you essentially think its wrestling.

My team is 3-0 and won the Superbowl last year. This isn't about bad calls happening all the time. This is about you trying to justify it and pretend that it wasn't a bad call.

I was explaining why I dont care the call wasnt made, but either way I wouldnt cry about it after the fact. Stuff happens in football. If there is any doubt, no flag is always better in my book.

Jesus, going to be having more nightmares of that game now.

Nightmares?, let me tell you my nightmare, the day before the game I blew my entire tax refund on a "47 Phillips LCD, $1,450 only to see the worst thing happen. I almost brought it back but liked the set so I didn't. Next SB vs the Giants I watched it on that TV again and again tragedy occurred. For the last SB I watched it on a 16yr old "32 CRT Sharp I still keep around as it functions perfectly, we won..

I don't know how I missed this comment. Did you watch any games last season? Seahawks opponents magically stopped getting penalties called on them whenever they played Seattle. If the Hawks are paying off the refs, they're getting poor value.

LOL, yea, I don't see any favoritism at all. The article about why Seattle gets so many calls though was spot-on though as one Ref even mentioned "how many times can you penalize one team?". If it's a system as the article claims it is then it's working very well as Seattle has been in the last 2 SB's.
