I'm with. On one hand I'm like "Fuck Balitmore" but it is never a good sign wihen a player goes down like this. This is pretty suck for everybody.

No matter how much you dislike the other team, you have to be a horrible human being to wish injuries and hits like that on other players.

It was nice to see that despite being such a heated rivalry, coaches, players, and fans all stopped caring about the game for the sake of McGahee.

I don't think you were talking about us at all but I would NEVER want anyone to get seriously injured no matter how much I disliked them.

Oh no no no, my comments weren't aimed at anyone here. I know a few people who have relished certain injuries and I find it absolutely disgusting.

If anyone else was listening to the game...it was really classy of the fans to stand up and cheer McGahee on. I just wish PITT would have turn off the music. A little inappropriate. Def. agree with everything that has been said.

Agreed. The music shouldn't have been on, but it was great to hear that Pitt fan have something genuinely nice to say to McGahee has he headed into the tunnel.

I hope that he doesn't have any neck damage. Because he was moving, it's obvious he isn't paralyzed, but he could still have done a whole host of bad things to his neck.

Flacco has had a fantastic season for a rookie, no matter how you look at it.

He had a great rookie season... probably the 2nd best in recent times. Second only to the winning QB of the AFC Championship game.

didn't do much worse than Ben in his first AFC Championship...

granted I think Ben did a lot more in more of his games to win it for the Steelers in his first season than Flacco did, but I think Flacco has a pretty decent future.

yeah, he had a great year for a rookie! he's a good fit for the ravens with their D. smart QB who doesn't force bad throws, has a rocket arm, and improved considerably this year.

I thought Roethlisberger was the definition of "game manager QB" up until last year, personally. Especially in 04 and 05, the Steelers won games with their defense and their running game...however, Flacco wasn't exactly running a Peyton-style offense either.

13/30 141 yards 0 TD 3 INT 18.2 Rating.... #1 defense or not, rookie or not, it doesn't get much worse than that.

I mean...I don't know what to say other than "you're extremely wrong".

Yes, he had a damn ugly game. But a statement like "Flacco sucks", after what he accomplished this year, is beyond ignorant.

I guess you of all people would block out of their memory games like his amazing 4th quarter comeback against the Cowboys his rookie year...

haha well obviously he had a good season, but come on. He averaged 21 attempts/game. His job, generally, was to not lose games.

I've been cheering on the Steelers, but Flacco is a great quarterback. SI had an article and Flacco has had one of the best rookie seasons ever; better rookie playoff season that Big Ben himself.

Again, I root for the Steelers, but objectively Flacco is a great player.

Again, you're belittling him by throwing out a stat without looking at the overall picture. Several of those games he had to lead drives in the 4th quarter to win games, and several they got out to such a huge lead (thanks to passes as much as runs) that they simply shut down the offense. Ben has so many games with so few passes if only because he didn't have to. Why do it when the game is in the bag?

Do you realize he has as many perfect passer rating games as Peyton Manning? Three...two in one regular season (only QB to do that)

Do you realize that he has 18 fourth quarter (or OT) comebacks - 5 of them his rookie season, and he did it with his arm?

Yeah, that's "game managing"

here, refresh your memory

Missed it by THAT much.

You are not being objective. Anyone that actually watched that season with an unbiased eye knew that Roethlisberger's job was to not lose the game. You complain about me "throwing out stats" and then you did the same thing back? Except that yours are even less concrete. Also you say "why throw when they don't have to"....uhhh, ok, so they win on defense and running and his job was to not lose the game? Are you agreeing with my ascertation, but rephrasing it to sound like you aren't?

-Its a lot easier to have a perfect QB rating throwing the ball 15 times vs 40. Besides, we're talking about his rookie year. NONE of them were his rookie year, so what the hell does that have to do with this argument?
-He won all 18 of those with his arm? Right. That's an objective stat. He won every single 4th quarter comeback with his arm. The great defense and running game didn't play a part in ANY of those? Please.

I don't know why you Steeler fans get so worked up over this. No one disagreed that he had a great rookie season - but it is VERY obvious by YOUR OWN DESCRIPTION even that his job was to be a game manager.

Flacco's season is very similar to Roethlisberger's rookie year. Great defense takes pressure off the offense and often provides good field position, power running game draws defenses in to stack the line, had success throwing deep and off of play action, isn't asked to do too much.
