I hope Mike Singletary had a good Christmas, because I think the Yorks are about to give him the gift of unemployment.

I'm sure he knows it coming. But I really see no point in firing him with 1 week left.

Yeah and with so many people snowed in, they would have had huge ratings for the game.

Unless they can find a replacement right away for Singletary the labor issues might keep in place for a while.

I was disappoint the Eagles-Saints game was cancelled too. My local network had nothing but an all night "weather" snoozefest to replace it..

People here are already calling the Bucs out of the playoffs? Haha, still 1 more week left ladies and gentlemen...it wouldn't be the NFL if there wasn't any crazy shit that can happen.

Freeman is as good as any other QB in the league, like it or not. We've lost 3 starters on the offensive line, got a bunch of rookie recievers, the offensive scheme is barely establishing it self. Freeman's got raw talent, anyone that says otherwise is a complete and utter fool. When you have people like Bill Billicheck, Jimmy Johnson, Tony Dungy, Drew Brees, Joe Montana, Warren Sapp and Michael Strahan holding a 2nd year player to such a high regard, you'd only be making a fool of your self to criticize Freeman's ability.

Our defense, even with 7 starters out for the year still works decently with a bunch of UFAs and practice squad players.

Stats do not mean everything, the number in the win column does, and i bet none of you had the Bucs winning more than 3 games at the start of the season. You must feel pathetic looking at the standings now.

Also, i love how someone actually bothered to bring up the "easy schedule" bullshit, last time i checked, the saints has the 27th easiest schedule last season...What did they do? The won the fucking superbowl.

But hey, no problem, keep the bucs under the radar, because next year, shit is gonna break lose...The NFC south is the new monster of the NFL...better start getting ready for a beat down.

3 in a row for the Lions

While I love to see them win even when they win they lose. Winning these past couple of games have pretty much killed any chance they had at getting Peterson or Amukamara. Either one would have made an excellent addition to the D.

Meanwhile, I'd like to take the time to give my weekly jab at the Texans and their fans. How's it feel "turning the corner"? LOL! 5-10 -- BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Here's a tip to any Houston Texans, fans, or media reading this -- don't talk smack the next time you win your FIRST GAME.

LOL, no one said he wasn't a decent QB. You're the one claiming he is in the "MVP race." He hasn't dealt with crap in terms of injuries on his team compared to Peyton Manning or Aaron Rodgers.

I just quickly glanced at their schedule. I may have missed a game, but unless I'm mistaken, the Bucs haven't beaten anyone with a winning record. Beating (barely) the likes of Cleveland, Cincy, Washington, St. Louis, and Arizona while losing to Detroit won't impress anyone.

But hey, no problem, keep the bucs under the radar, because next year, shit is gonna break lose...The NFC south is the new monster of the NFL...better start getting ready for a beat down.

Oh boy, you're setting yourself up for a big letdown next season. Look at the bright side -- the Bucs might actually be OK next year since they're going to be playing a third place schedule. I bet fans in Houston were saying the same thing as you after their season last year. Oops!

Freeman has an 88 QB rating, his team has played a very weak schedule, his YPA is nothing to write home about (not bad, but not phenomenal), and his team is missing the playoffs. Where exactly does your MVP case come from?

Sure, the Bucs would be a lot worse without Freeman, but I can think of one guy who didn't make the playoffs that had a significantly better season (Rivers), one who might miss them (Rodgers), a guy who nearly killed his team and has now saved them (Manning), a guy who leads the #1 offense in the NFL (Brady), a second-year QB who has guided his team to the best record in the NFC (Matty Ice), and a guy who has been nothing short of sensational with big plays (Vick).

Freeman doesn't belong anywhere near that list. Sorry. He's good, but he's not that good.

Make a case for Freeman over any of the guys I listed above:

Vick
Ryan
Brady
Manning
Rodgers
Rivers

88 QB rating? I don't know what you're seeing, my screen says 93.6...

Oh boy, would you look at this...

With a 93.6 QB rating, Buccaneers quaterback Josh Freeman surpasses those in the likes of Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Matt Ryan, Eli Manning, Jay Cutler, Matt Schaub and Brett Favre

Pretty hefty list if you ask me...

I don't see how that was offensive pass intereference on White.

Overzealous refs trying to dictate the game. Anyways, I'm annoyed that the announcers are having a love affair with the Saints. Not like the Falcons are some pushover.

Well, I'm a Saints fan, so I'm highly biased, but the Falcons are a Super Bowl calibre team. Someone just needs to hit White with a 2x4 to shut him up. I have a feeling we'll be seeing this game again as the NFC Championship. Hopefully with Chris Ivory this time.

Assuming everything else was equal, he'd have gotten the first with that dive anyway. So it's cheap, but it didn't cost Atlanta the game IMO.

Sorry Bucs and Giants fans. Your good teams got kicked out and some team from the shitty NFC West will go to the playoffs. I know that sucks, and my heart goes out to you.
