Clearly the Pats are in a rebuilding year. I wouldn't write them off yet because the young players are going to get better.

The Pats are going to work out Frank Gifford and Don Maynard this week.

If Brady doesn't quit acting like a bitch, they are done for. He's supposed to be the leader, not the lead complainer.

Yes they did. It's clear that the rookie WRs aren't on the same page as Brady when it comes to their read-options. Which makes you wonder - why the fuck don't they simplify the offense? You can't expect a rookie WR to have the same proficiency at reading a defensive scheme as a 14 year veteran QB.

This all goes back to the fact that the Pats have problems developing WRs. Since 2002 they've drafted 11 and Edelman is the only one that's amounted to something.

Here's what really made me mad last night:

Announcer: "Geno Smith needs to learn to place that ball better. He has to give his receivers a chance to catch the ball"

Show instant replay and the ball hits the receiver in the chest. Receiver just didn't catch it.

Announcer: "Brady throws a perfect pass. Look at that perfectly thrown ball! His receivers need to make those catches."

Show an instant replay and the ball is 5 feet out of bounds and 10 feet in front of the receiver.


I hate NFL Network games. Its like they try to find the worst announcers and then get them drunk before the game.

The NFL pregame show has weird sound. Sort of echoey or like they are in a tin can. I tried every setting on my DSP receiver to get rid of it but couldn't. Fortunately the game sound was ok.

doubt it will be a blowout (well, actually...Giants and young Manning tend to suck beginning of season before turning it around; which is the historical opposite of old man Manning's season trajectories), but Broncos should win this one.


BTW--that Pats/Jets game last night was one of the worst football games that I have ever (sorta) watched. Could it be that the Jets actually aren't all that bad? meaning--they have the ability to drag their opponents down to their level of suck, and whip them with experience.

Jets have spent the last couple years rebuilding and getting young in both lines. It's particularly showing now on the defensive side. If Milner didn't screw the pooch and give up that easy TD, Jets likely would have won a defense and FG game.

Pats weren't looking that great even before the additional key injuries.

Bills/Jets next week should be renamed the Dumpster Bowl.

For an NFL quarterback, attitude is just as important, if not more important, than ability.

If he is throwing tantrums on the field, yelling and screaming on the sideline (not at anyone, just throwing a fit) and acting out like he did, he is shitty. A veteran QB should help build his team and carry his team at times. What he did last night showed his true character or the lack of one.

Look at Peyton. I don't personally like him but his leadership ability is amazing. Even when he struggle physically, he carried his team. Say what you want about Favre but the guy played his nuts off when his team wasn't doing well.

Brady is shitty.
