So, is there really any doubt that the only reason the Texans won the AFC South was because Payton wasn't playing?

Ugh, another Thursday, another awful game. =(

Still early but it appears my prediction of not a blowout isn't going to hold true

Ryan Fitzpatrick looks the same way David Carr looked behind that Texans offensive line.

Dude is getting ramrodded with authority by the Colts D.

You know what, the Texans deserved to be kicked in the nuts. I was alluded to the fact that the onside kick was akin to kicking another man in the nuts. But after watching them for 5 minutes, they do deserve a kick in the nuts for wasting my freaking time trying to watch a football game.

Jeebus. No question who the top of AFC south is. Indy just asserted the stance of dominance.

Good catch by Johnson.

I almost forgot he as playing in the NFL since he isn't mentioned much anymore. For years, it was him and [insert WR here] in my opinion, then he and Megatron, now it's Megatron and [insert WR here].

Wonder who will be next!

That was the best tackling efforts I've ever seen, even Tecmo Bowl doesn't have such fine tacklings.

Surprisingly entertaining game. Thought it would be another Thursday night blowout stinker but Houston shows some resiliency.

Refs screw up again. But at this point, when have the refs not screwed up a few critical plays a game? It's a coin flip on who wins cause it's sure not based on the play on the field but the damn refs.

Texans got shell shocked in the first quarter but the Defense made adjustments and they fought back quite well. Hard for any defense to defense against Luck when he is so money on his passes. And yet again JJ Watt is unreal, how in the hell is this dude this fuckin good?

There will be a decent case for Watt for PoY, he's just amazing. Luckily he didn't go beast mode against the Cowboys last week and was mostly limited to pressures.

Houston had a couple of division titles only because Manning was injured and in the second year, they ripped the roster apart. There is zero doubt in my mind that if Manning remained healthy and a Colt, the Colts would've won the division both of those years too. Heck, Luck and company cost Houston HFA in the playoffs his rookie year with an ass kicking in week 17. I knew then that the Texans were done.

I actually came in here to post that.

Its too bad that Houston doesn't have an O line. If they could give Fitz more protection, Houston would have a chance at the playoffs and Watt would have a very good shot at season MVP.

Luck is my MVP at this point. He's got a castoff bunch of RB's. WR's that no one outside of Indy or fantasy football would know. And is literally dragging that team to wins.

He doesn't have any where the tools to work with that Peyton or Rodgers do. The defense and RB that Wilson does. He's carrying that team.

That ended up more of a game than I thought it would. If the Texans didn't have JJ Watt, I think they'd be very much worse off. He is one of the few guys whose presence literally alters the games.

Wat? Reggie Wayne is pretty much known outside of Indy.

I agree with the rest of your post though. I am still baffled Richardson is so bad. I mean, he went from almost a 1000 yard season in Cleveland to around half that on a team that actually has a passing offense...

I agree but he does have Wayne and Richardson is really coming along. I would not argue against him being the MVP, I just think Watt would be a serious contender if Houston were a better team.

I fully expect Peyton or Wilson to end up with it at the end of the season though.

If Peyton has another season like the previous, he surely will get it. There is a certain running back I'd love to be in contention for it, but I know he will be injured and stop having 100+ yard games soon. =(

I understand this argument, but this isn't a valid MVP argument in my opinion.

If this were the same season that the Pats went 18-1, would you give the MVP to Luck over Brady? Probably not, because it doesn't really matter your roster as much as it matters your individual performance.

If we're going off roster, we should have given Manning the MVP for missing an entire season with his neck injury. Indy only won like what, 4 games that year?

Eh, Wayne is 35 and coming off ACL repair. He can still ball...but lets be real here. Frankly I'm surprised that he did come back this year. Guy is an incredible athlete no doubt, but he's definitely on the twilight of a career.

But, that isn't what you said. I agree, the fact that Wayne came back after that ACL this late in his career is amazing.

Also, in other news, Kaep fined $10,000 for wearing pink Beats in an interview. Lol, I guess they are serious about that "only Bose" garbage.

They won only 2 games with almost the same roster (minus Manning) as the year before. I seriously thought they should've given Manning the MVP because he proved beyond any reasonable doubt that he was more important to his team than any other player was to his team.
