What I posted in another thread:

I can tell you this, if Whitehurst starts the Seahawks will still get beat by the Saints - but might at least score, and may even make it a relatively close game.

If Hasselback starts, the SeaChicken's will be slaughtered and deep fried, and also chopped up for SeaChicken and Sausage gumbo in New Orleans french quarter.

I like that Packers line and call me crazy, I kind of like Seahawks +11. :hmm: Colts/Jets is too tough to call, though I hope the Colts crush the Jets. If the Chiefs got another 1.5 I would go to them, but at 3 I don't feel comfortable.

uh, finally? they should have put him on IR in week 3 instead of letting him rot on everybody's fantasy bench. grumble... ><

i dont see the saints past round 2 with ladell betts and reggie bush in the gound game.

I've been reading Advanced NFL Stats lately and he has some interesting stuff (if you like statistics). Going by his team efficiency rankings, the winners this weekend should be the Saints, Jets, Ravens, and Packers. But efficiency doesn't necessarily translate into wins - his highest rated team on the year was the Chargers and they went 9-7 and missed the playoffs.

I'm inclined to agree with his rankings for this round at least, though. Only one I'm really iffy on is the Jets-Colts game. The Colts ended the season on a hot streak while the Jets ended on a skid. Yet the Jets appear to have fewer problems on paper.

Colts run defense really stepped up the last few weeks, slowing some big backs, so if they can stop the Jets run game and put it in Sanchez' hands...makes me feel a bit better. That's what I'm hoping for anyway. Also the Colts seem to be able to run a bit themselves now.

Unfortunately, though, our secondary is down to guys off the street and Collins lit them up pretty handily. Hopefully Freeney and Mathis will make them non-essential this game.

It's a trap game. If the Saints treat it like a free win they could easily slip up. They did lose to the Browns this year, possibly because they were focused more on playing the Steelers the following week.
