D::biggrin:Brian Burke made the impending free agent his highest-paid forward Tuesday, signing Grabovski to a US$27.5-million, five-year extension.
If he does come back he better have learned his lesson from his first comeback attempt.Crosby is cleared for contact. He could be back as soon as Sunday.

And yet the Avs are 4-3 since the deadline.Back in the playoffs.
The trades for Jamie McGinn and Steve Downie are clearly the best trades made at this years deadline.
McGinn = 7 games - 8 points
Downie = 10 games - 11 points
In last 11 = 8-2-1
Both have been outstanding for us
With NHL general managers gathered for their annual March meetings, virtually all of the buzz Tuesday surrounded the league's decision to allow the 25-year-old Russian forward to rejoin the Nashville Predators without clearing waivers.
Radulov famously bolted Nashville in 2008 for the newly formed KHL in his homeland despite having one year left on his entry-level contract. The NHL team is willing to welcome him back, which would allow Radulov to burn off the final season of that deal if he plays just one game.
Radulov could be a potential game-changer for a Predators team that has Stanley Cup aspirations. He scored 26 goals as a sophomore in the NHL and went on to become a two-time KHL MVP and Russian Olympian, prompting some to label him the best player outside of North America.
And yet the Avs are 4-3 since the deadline.
Tomorrow night should be a good game between Colorado and Buffalo. Both teams are fighting for a playoff spot. It should be good.
Ryan Miller has really turned his game around lately, going 9-1-1 with a 1.78GAA and a .944SV% since Feb 19. He's looking like he did when he won the Vezina. The Sabres are going to need him to keep it up for the rest of the season if they want to make the playoffs.
Last 10 games for the teams on the bubble in the west:
Colorado: 7-3-0
Calgary: 5-2-3
Los Angeles: 5-4-1
Phoenix: 4-4-2
San Jose: 2-5-3
If the remaining 10-11 games can follow this trend, we should be okay
ughh, just give me Datsyuk and Lidstrom back in the lineup. Wings went from being in position to grab home ice advantage throughout to possibly not havng it at all.
Tonight is the night that Crosby comes back to New York City.
Pens vrs Rangers! The hottest team in the NHL the Pens go up against the Rangers who lead the pens by 6 points. This is one not to be missed.
Red Wings melting down in March, per usual
I will be so happy if this is a sign of things to come. Lidstrom is now out for the longest stretch of his career and will definitely retire after this year.

I wouldn't call it a melt down, half a dozen injuries all happening at once.
The last time Lidstrom missed more than 1 or 2 games in a season, the Wings won the cup.
Could be a blessing in disguise, the team can't lean on the two best players, a lot of the younger guys have stepped up. per usual.
Its good to have optimism, but there are too many teams this year much stronger than Detroit to think they might be able to win the cup. Just my 2 cents.
Doesn't look like Nashville will get Radulov for the run, but I like their chances. I've been calling St Louis for a while now.
The east has many strong teams, especially if Crosby stays helthy
When Detroit is healthy, no one was better. St Louis has a great record, but is continually pwned by both Chicago and Detroit. They are not a playoff team. They are 3rd in their own division come playoff time, possibly 4th if you consider Nashville
LOL
Whatever
St Louis will remain first in that division and are clearly the best team in it

ya, regular season. But like I said, not a playoff team. They will lose to Chi or Det in a 7 game series, no question. They are maybe a 50/50 bet against Nashville, and if Vancouver gets their act together, would be a shoe in over STL as well.
