I guess we'll see.

I think Nash and STL are both stronger than Detroit, and it goes without saying that they are both stronger than Chicago. I have no idea how that team is even still in the playoff hunt

I'm hoping we continue to elevate as the 3 new guys get more and more accustomed to the style of play. Plus once the term "Brostitsyns" catches fire down here the league better watch out...

You just hate Detroit. Look at STL's record against CHI or DET, losing to both of them. They are racking up points on an easy schedule.

No King Henrik for that game last night... but I was interested enough to tune in. NBCSN was carrying the Root Sports feed. Christ... Errey and Steigerwhothefuck are brutal.

"1-0 Penguins off of Matt Cooke's goal. Crosby didn't get an assist, but he helped." *slurp slurp*

Giardi lit up Malkin behind the Rags net so Geno tried a pathetic low-bridge hit in front of NYR bench.

"Malkin was protecting himself."

Worse than Jackoff Edwards. That's bad.

Ohwell, Pens are bad ass for sure. MAF and Letang on the back end, Sid, Geno, Staal, and Neal up front. Bylsma should be a Jack Adams finalist.

Pens/Rags ECF would be epic.

Yeah, Pittsburgh and Boston announcers have the reputation for being the worst in the Eastern Conference. If you really can't stand the Pittsburgh guys and are in the mood for some schadenfreude, it's quite enjoyable listening to them cry as the Islanders beat the everliving piss out of the Penguins both on the scoresheet and with their fists.

About as well as the Penguins would be doing if they hadn't lucked into Crosby and Malkin. Oh wait, they're doing better because they still exist.

@ #HenriqueForCalder

LOL no.

It's not even close.
The Nuge wins this by a huge lead if it's not for him being injured for 20 games.

Not to mention the fact he's on the second worst team in the league vs. two teams in or battling for the playoffs.

RNH gets much more ice time and pp time than Henrique, and Henrique hasn't played they full season either. Henrique is also playing in a much tougher division.

Granted RNH would have won if he had stayed healthy, but its too little too late. Landy has it all but wrapped up.

1st in every stat that matters and it will stay that way, guaranteed. RNH will be second and Henrique third in the voting. You guys are insane if you think otherwise. Even all the east coast biased media has come out and said the same

Now to tonight - Varlamov HUGE WIN! 5 of the 6 pts on this 3 game road trip. Love how the Avalanche simply pwn the East. Playing their 18th & final game against the East tonight, finishing 13-4-1 (7-2-0 at home and 6-2-1 on the road). The only team that even looked better than us was the Penguins.

BTW, I find this hilarious. How long before Edmonton is a good team? How many years do they have to have the 1st or second pick in the draft to be any good. LOL. Its so hilarious to see how bad they are with all that offensive talent.

Edm management is retarded not trading down and getting Adam Larsson instead, or getting a decent goalie in some kind of trade. You need to build from the net out in this league and have at least a couple good d-men, Edm has nothing but mediocrity outside of their forwards.

And to think of all the idiots giving Avs management a hard time trading Chris Stewart and Shattenkirk for Erik Johnson and McClement, its already clear who won that trade at least when looking at performance this year - it was great for both teams and we got what we desperately needed.

And of course "mortgaging our future trading a lottery pick for Varlomov" to quote the idiot east coast biased media on that trade. Varly is going to be a top 5 goalie in this league, he's already close and he's only 23 yo. Avs will be proving everyone idiots once we are seriously contending for the cup in just a few short years. The amount of young talent we have, at every position and every type of player (unlike Edm) will be apparent very soon. Towes lite, future Selke winner in O'Reilley, Forsberg lite in Landeskog, #1 D man EJ, we just need to get Duchene to stop twirling like a ballerina and we got our sniper. The future is so bright around here. Now we just need Manning

Matt Read should be in the conversation for the Calder. The only knock on him is that he's 25. He has 20 G, 21 A, 17+ ATOI, kills penalties. Most of all, he's a rookie that is contributing on a team that is actually relevant. It's tough to play meaningful minutes and contribute on a team that is playoff-bound, especially when you also take into account that he's the best rookie on a team that is showing you up to 7 a night.

I'm not saying he takes it, but the kid can play, and should have a shot at it depending on his stretch run here.

Have any of you guys even watched a single Avalanche game? Blows my mind that none of you guys are acknowledging Landeskog.

He is first in every stat you just praised Matt Read for. He plays on the PP and the PK and he is 19 yo. He already plays like a veteran in the NHL.

That sucked yesterday when Pens lost in OT to Philly. 3 sec left in OT and Philly got the win. Malken's 2 penalties in the 3rd killed it for the pens when philly scored both goals on the PP. The worst I seen Malken play this year, he was so undisciplined in the 3rd. That game was one rough hitting game and then fights in the 3rd to top it of. This reminds me of the old philly vrs pens back in the 90's.

Just the two they've played against the Devils. Avalanche don't really get many nationally broadcast games. I think we all know Landeskog is the front-runner for the Calder. I don't think he has it locked up like you think he does.

Matt Read is in a distant fourth place. He can be "in the conversation," but he doesn't have a realistic chance of winning.

Landeskog just took the point lead a few days ago. The Devils have been in an offensive slump; when that ends, Henrique could easily retake the rookie points lead.

who's the red wings' color commentary guy? What an annoying f'n homer. He can't keep his "oohs" and "ahhs" and "come on's" to himself while the play by play is going on. Everytime the Wings fuct up.

I heard the guy rh71 is talking about. I don't know who he is either, but he's pretty pathetic. He can't keep himself composed. I was watching a game last year on center ice and the wings drew a penalty and he said something like "Thank you! It's about time!" Later in the game Zetterburg got tripped up and he blurted out "Come on!" Lol.

It like if they had a fan come in and do color, only he does it every game.
