You come up with biggest excuses I ever seen. All you say is "the box score tells the same story I referred to" and don't point out anything from it? List exactly what is in the box score tells your story because you are full of hot air. The Pens dominated the Preds 5 to 1 and that a fact you can't deal with.
It looks to me like both Detroit and the Preds need to watch out for the Hawks...they are playing well...

Keith got 5 games for the elbow to Sedins head.
Cheers,
Aquaman
Still waiting for the 5 game for Sedin for his hit on keith that started it.
Of course, since the NHL is scared of punishing women, it wont happen.
Video of both:

Keith pretty much fucked himself over when he said "I'm going to get you" to Daniel and the ref heard it. Also I don't think the hits are anywhere near the same, Keith's was much worse.
If you watch the video dissecting the suspension/hit it seems like they looked at Daniel's hit but didn't think it was worth suspension.
If someone sets up a fund to reimburse Keith for his lost wages I'll chip in $100.
You think that little pansy won't think twice about cheapshotting someone else next time?
That's the problem. The new NHL doesn't want the players policing the game (see the instigator rule, guys getting 2/10 for saying something to another player). The league also puts very subjective rules in place on what you can and can't do. Then they go and apply those rules unevenly, where the same hit by two different players will result in no hearing at all for one guy and 5 games for another.
The most ridiculous part is the whole "past history" consideration when giving out punishment. So you have guys like Malkin who have no prior history because when they come up for review, they have no prior history. Malkin's a good example, actually, because he got an instigator that came with an automatic suspension, which the league rescinded. So he should automatically have a prior history, but doesn't.
The league as a whole is full of shit. They went from Campbell and his obvious conflict of interest (his SON is a fucking player) to Shanahan, who clearly understands what counts as crossing the line (from doing it so often as a player) and can't apply it fairly.
I mean, holy shit, the NHL's outlets are so busy blowing Crosby right now that you'd hardly know Stamkos has 50 goals on the season.
Just to be clear - I was talking about Sedin having second thoughts, not Keith.
Kronwall went for Voracek's head and got nothing,
See now I'm going to disagree with you on this. Kronwall has in the past leaped during hits and used his arms and elbows and should have gotten fines and suspensions on many occasions, but in the last year he's made a point of coming into his crushing hits by turning his back to the player and keeping his skates on the ice and not pushing through the hit.
If a player is skating bent over leaning with his head down are defensemen supposed to jump out the puck carrier's way and allow them free reign do go down ice unscathed? If so, I suggest all puck carriers skate with their heads down bent over and no one will be allowed to touch them. This would be really be the new NHL.
I didn't see any getting up on the toes of Kronwall and to not catch Voracek's head would have meant that Kronwall would have had to bend over and then there would be a good chance that Voracek would flip over the top of Kronwall. He didn't quite leave his feet, but he got up to hit Voracek in the head. That could have been shoulder to shoulder, but Kronwall went for the head. That's what makes it a dirty hit. I agree that Voracek shouldn't have been coming in with his head down, but that doesn't give the other player a license to go up high. If it did, why did Rinaldo get suspended for hitting Ericsson while he was watching his own pass? They both went up high, Kronwall just got on his toes and Rinaldo is shorter.
Just so you don't think I'm being a homer, I also think Sestito went high on Horton in the same way Kronwall and Rinaldo did. All 3 have to be a suspension, or all 3 have to be nothing. Instead, Sestito and Kronwall got off, while Rinaldo got suspended.
That's the new NHL.
