could be 3-0 if they didn't blow game 2. I would love to see boston out of it.

Yeah we know, all Penguins fans want Boston out either because they're afraid to face them in the conference finals or because they're butthurt about getting getting swept last year.

Boston fans are understandably mad about Subban knocking the net off. I don't believe he actually thinks he's able to skate through the net, so it looked to me like he recognized an opportunity to make it look accidental and took it. Canadiens fans get their panties in a wad about everyone hating Subban, then he does something like that and they love it. Well, that's why people don't like the guy.

I can't feel bad for the Bruins though after they were so stupidly unaware that Subban's penalty was ending in the first period. They gifted him that goal.

The penalty they called on PK was also pretty weak and then he scored getting out of the box.

I am guessing that the refs decided that there was no scoring chance and the net was accidentally knocked off.

The ref didn't see the net get knocked off, that's why it took him a while to blow the whistle. He couldn't call anything regardless of whether it was intentional (it was).

Boston's playing with fire... their trying-too-hard-to-stay-out-of-the-box strategy is neutering their starts.

Rask needs to get his shit together; fast. Price has been the better goalie so far.

IIRC; it's a penalty shot for deliberately dislodging the net during the final two minutes of a game or during OT. *shrug*

not if the game is being played in montreal and the habs do the dislodging! and that is what PK recognized, and smartly took advantage of.

I won't lie, it's alittle of both. But it's got to do mostly with how the Bruins fans are pompous asses. ()

You have to decide it was deliberate. It seems the ref did not even see it, but generally they look at the possibility of a scoring chance at that time and if it would make sense for a player to want to dislodge the net. When the net was knocked off the moorings, there was no immediate threat to score. So the intent would have been hard as well.

Damnit Rangers...they are going to eff over my second round.
They were supposed to win but they cannot score (and holy power-play fail).

I was counting on them to make Crosby cry. Now the Pens fans around here will be out claiming Crosby is the second coming of Gretzky if he even sniffs another cup.

Montreal has now won 17 of last 21 games overall.

I really believe whoever wins the Habs/Bruins series will be in the Cup final.

I've watched both of the Pittsburgh series as well and they don't look that impressive. Lacking a little grit.

Being a Leaf fan, I have a horrible gut feeling that Montreal is going to win the cup. It hurts.

Quite the contrary. Most Penguins fans I know are still pretty disappointed with the way he's played the last month. He's scored 1 goal in 15 games, and often times seems slower and less physical than normal. He also has been making a lot of stupid mistakes with the puck, attempting passes he wouldn't normally do. Not sure what's up with him, but he's certainly not playing like the "best player in the world" should.

The Key word in the rule is deliberate.

TSN has an article by Kerry Fraser advising nobody would have made that call as far as he's concerned as there is evidence it wasn't deliberant.

Truth is - I watch as much hockey as anyone I know - and I rarely see this called in the Regular season. It has to be clear as day deliberate. In this case, its not clear. Bruins fans may disagree, but what do you expect? If it was any team in that situation there fans would complain. Also - Since its very rarely called in the regular season, why should the playoffs be any different?

Example - Its not like a defending team clearing a puck over the glass causing a delay of game penalty. That rule doesn't state "Deliberate" in its vocabulary used, so its called everytime. (minus the exceptions, deflections, hit glass first, etc) The lodging of the net is a Ref's call, and 19/20 times it isn't going to be called.

I don't call out Teams Fans very often because its silly. But everytime Boston plays Montreal, excuses seem to come flying if they lose. I will admit this series hasn't had much of that though, which makes things better.

Oh - For fun

Oh no doubt. I was just commenting on the "bandwagon" Crosby fans that seem to come out of the woodwork near me. Crosby seems to be experiencing what Toews was going through last year...frustration, pure and simple. He is being shut down and he simply doesnt know how to deal with it and its frustrating the hell out of him.

speaking of being completely shutdown...I present to you, Ryan Getzlaf. If you go by stats he's the 2nd best player in the game. Nonexistent thus far against the kings.

He's had some helpers, but he's been shut down so badly that you don't even know whether he's on the ice or not 99% of the time. I honestly didn't even think it was possible to shut him down with how big he is, but its being done.

I dunno, you know people that think he's the second coming of Gretzky seriously? Maybe find other people to associate with.

Hopefully he'll start putting some into the net, and Malkin will continue playing good. If you get those two going, with the rest of the team, I like their chances.

Bruins win in OT made me sad, but it was a great game by both teams.
