Blah, most of the talent is getting old, the Red Wings will have to rebuild soon. With guys like Datsyuk and Zetterberg, though, they'll have a good core to build around.

Let's just hope they play the rest of the playoffs like they did in games 5 and 6 of the Predators series. If they do, look out NHL.

I know...they pull these guys out of the later rounds of the drafts that no one has ever heard of, and they turn out to be incredibly talented. Their scouting staff seems to be incredibly adept at doing that.

I can see that happening if Detroit can't match the work ethic of the Flames, and Kiprusoff continues his excellent play.

Kipprusoff will have to play much better than he did against Vancouver. And Calgary's D is going to have to play at the highest level.

Detroit got their scare in games 3 and 4 of the Predators series. They are going to come out focused. I don't see Calgary being able to survive a 7 game series unless Kipprusoff plays out of his mind.

Meh. Flames won't upset the Wings. All they have is Iginla to score.

If Bert had been in the line up, the Canucks would have taken that series easily.

The Flames certainly don't have scoring depth. They will need to play stout D and have Kipper come up big in goal if they are going to be in the series. They certainly don't want to get into a shootout with the Wings.

Tampa/Montreal: Tampa in 6 unless Montreal continues to play tight defence and gets a lot of luck.

Philly/Toronto: If Belfour can stay hot and Toronto can stay out of the penalty box, the Leafs could take it in 6. If Philly can figure out Belfour or get Toronto to take some dumb penalties at key moments AND capitalize on the power plays, the Flyers can take it in 6 or 7. Either way, it should be a tough series.

Avs/Sharks: If the Avs play like they did against the Stars in games 1, 2, and 5, the Sharks are toast. If they switch to prevent hockey from games 3 and 4, they're toast. I don't think the Sharks will take it though. Avs in 6.

Wings/Flames: If the Flames can play tight defense, stay out of the penalty box and Kipper can stay hot, they might take it in 7. If the Wings can figure out Kipper and capitalize on their power plays, the Wings will take it in 5.

Tor vs Phi - As much as I'd like to see a Canadian team advance, with Sundin not at 100% and Nolan out, they're not getting through Philly unless Esche has a major breakdown.

TB vs. Mon - I am Habs fan so I'll say that the Habs take it, but you could make a good point for Tampa taking that one

Det vs Cal - Depends on how Kiprusov and Cujo play, the goalie will be the deciding factor in that series. Still I'll say Detroit.

Col vs Sharks - Col takes that one, they crushed Dal and while the Sharks are good, they're not better than Col.

Wow...the Avs were rusty as hell tonight. It's almost as though they forgot that the Sharks are actually a pretty decent team over the last four days. Oh well, I fully expect to see a better effort on Saturday.

I'm surprised Calgary won tonight. I expected lots of 4-0 and 5-1 Wings wins, not 2-1 Flames wins in OT. Oh well, as long the Flames give Detroit a run for their money, I say go Flames.

I'm not too surprised the Flyers beat the Leafs tonight. From what I've seen of the Leafs, everything depends on Belfour having a stellar game. As soon as he fails, his teammates have to step in and help him. However they didn't tonight and they lost. I don't think the Leafs can take the Flyers, but I expect them to give 'em a tough series.
