1) gets demolished on a hit

2) takes a run at a Kings player, probably should have been a penalty (ending his teams chance to win)

There might be a suspension for Bitz in the Canucks/Kings game for the elbow too.

This one looks a lot different. In the Sedin one the shoulder came first, in the Bitz one the elbow went first. I'll have to see the replay, but I don't think it was similar.

I don't think I've seen them look that confident even in their best game in the regular season. They just need to tighten up the PP a bit more and work harder to screen Luongo. Lu was the only reason the Nucks were even in that game.

That's just beautiful.

After a second look I guess I overstated that Burroughs deserved a penalty for going after Richards; he sort of fell down on his own.

But the hit alone is worth every penny.

Weber is not getting a two-game suspension. If so then it's old Detroit blood coming out of Shanahan.

And we were already down Hal Gill in that game. If Weber is suspended I sure hope Gill is back on Friday.

I'm not sure how many games it should be, but a suspension is definitely appropriate. Otherwise it is like admitting "Sure, you can do this in the NHL. All you get is a penalty!".

Maybe. I'll be honest I only caught it on the replay and obviously it didn't hurt the guy so I have no idea what it looked like to the ref actually standing there next to them. Anyone have a good video of it other than high/across ice view?

Ha just watched it again. You really think the force behind Weber's nudge into the glass was more than the force Zetterberg applied to Weber's upper back/neck area when he came crashing in as time was expiring? I think what Weber did looked a lot worse on camera than it really was but in the end that may be all that matters. With that said, he should be smarter than that.

I too thought I saw Zetterberg hit Weber in the head on the way in. It looked to me like Weber then retaliated. I only saw that replay once pretty quickly though.

Not to mention the haymaker Bertuzzi threw at Gaustad after the face off. Total madness was going on there at the end on both sides. Still, it has become popular in the media to focus on the Weber action so I wouldn't be shocked if he's out a game.

It's only getting attention because the style of 'hit' was kind of hilarious. Was that Hulk Hogan? Watch the vid again. Looks much worse than it really was. Harder shots happened all game.
