Yeah, the Doan hit never shoulda been a 5 minute major, maybe not a penalty at all, but clearly the refs didn't see anything or the smith/brown exchange would have been called a lot differently. I've gone and pushed guys out of the way when they were in my crease or impeding my vision, but a hack like that is weak. i particularly hated asshats who would hack away at the top of my glove when I covered a puck...those fuckers deserve to burn.

I was fine with that game as a Devils fan. A couple of bad breakdowns in the third that will need to be addressed, but they carried the play most of the game. The Rangers defense already looks exhausted, if The Devils can keep rolling 4 lines and steal game two, I think the Rangers will be in some trouble.
