I just finished watching the Nintendo conference, and i have to say, it's 10X better than the Sony one, which literally made me sleepy. And i'm actually use to the name Wii now... i guess after hearing it a hundred times, you get use to it. I still don't know about the controller though... although watching Zelda, it looks interesting.

I wonder about the developers though... how many companies are going to be willing to develop for the Wii, only one platform, when they can potentially create games for PS3, 360, and PCs.

yea i started skipping bits of the video it got so goddamned boring. obviously non game play footage of games is just not compelling.

I still want to know more about games and the control.

Tennis: ok so you swing..but how do you run to the ball. We couldnt really see how they were getting there. If its automatic thats kinda lame. I dont really see how running to get it or leaning is going to do it...maybe moving it a certain distance will move the character..i dunno.

Red Steel: The looking around seemed very slugish. I imagine the guy playing had hours and hours to practice and get this routine down. Even then he was having troulbe killing some things and hitting them. Turning the screen seemed slow and unrespsonive. If someone is behind you it would be a while untill you can see them. Hopefully this changes...it is early..

Hopefully these things will be answered tomorrow when devs play the games.

I am looking forward to this console. I want Smash Brothers!!!!

From the article in Time, it sounds like the system can detect the position of the controller. Although one potential problem would be having enough space to move around in order to play games that would require such movement.

In tennis, the running is done for you....but this is just more of a fluffy tech demo and game for non-gamers than a game that is expected to be taken seriously by hardcore gamers.

I thought the same thing about red steel, but its all about sensitivity, which Im sure is adjustable.

I want metroid prime bad.

I noticed the Red Steel turning issue also. It shouldn't be hard to put in a quick turn or something similar.

Also, I just heard that Duck Hunt will be playable at e3!

heh i think the square enix conference is actually the best for that. atleast the cut i saw was just a buncha uncomfortable looking japanese people speaking broken english very slowly and looking uncomfortable. rest is just in japanese with subs pretty sad.
