This board is definitely slower than P5W-DH in CPU/memory intensive applications with 2T command rate. However it rocks in 3D. Lots of stuff to fool around if you want to squeeze the most out of components. Getting 1T to work will require high-quality memory and once you get that to work then the memory performance will be comparable to that of 975X. I still haven't gotten 1T stably @800MHz/3-3-3. For me, adding voltages didn't do any good for 1T. Overall I like this board a lot and decided to replace my P5W-DH with it, despite the memory issue. Hopefully NV will fine-tune the BIOS for more performance. Besides I have a couple of bad experiences, where ASUS boards performed excellently at the beginning then failed over time. (Their boards just doesn't give me the rock-solid feeling to me, but it's purely subjective)
Board feels very solid and you can see the components are all high-quality. One thing to note: This board has lots of oversized capacitors! Wow I haven't seen that many, fat, and tall caps on motherboards. Be careful not to break them!
