Doesn't say on the patch notes but I would expect it to.

good question , because I've installed the beta patch as well. Of course I backed up my save files before I did that , but I've done quite a bit of playing since then....it would suck to have to do it all over again. I'm against using the console for ANYTHING , but if I have to start over , I just might be tempted to get me back to where I am.

I'm using oldoblivion and I installed the patch without realizing oldoblivion wouldn't work with the patch, I don't want to reinstall oblivion so does anyone have a way to uninstall the patch?

so basically under performance tweaks they tell you to turn off or change every setting to low. way to go guys...

Doesn't fix anything I had a problem with, breaks my colored map mod just like the beta =/

The game didn't crash when I exited though.

Yeah, i mention that bow and mace in an earlier post. Once i got the weapon, the game was essentially trivialized, and that was at like level 25 or so. It's supposed to reduce speed upon hit, and i don't know if it's a bug or not, but it essentially paralyzes them, so you just go up and whack them to death.

i have a whole bunch of *game breakers* - on 'display' at Frostcraig Spire.

yeah, thats one of the bad things about it. extremely slow in getting patches or even getting them at all.

I just went to Kvatch at level 33... I went through one bow (luckily, I carry three), used up over 350 arrows, and used about 30 healing potions. I carried back over 100 lbs (whatever weight units) of Daedra hearts, Daedroth teeth, spider silk, fire salts, void salts, etc. By the end of the fighting, the one city guard that couldn't die was pretty much naked. I guess his armor was all destroyed. Most of my armor was down to the 50s and 60s.

If you don't plan to go to Kvatch until later in the game, make sure to stock up. Leveling up your armorer skills might help. Bring LOTS of arrows if you play as an archer. Also, spells/weapons that do damage over a large area would be helpful. My Skull of Corruption and Wabbajack helped a lot in conserving arrows and armor too.

I just finished the MQ at level 36. Man some of the Daedra were a PITA. I guess it's time to do the dark brotherhood quests...

how about carrying extra repair hammers - instead? much lighter

i repaired *everything* i ran across - even if i discarded it - just to get my Armourer skills UP . . . carrying just ONE hammer and being able to repair to 125% is a real "freedom".


i did the Final Battle twice . . . at Level 12 or so whe it was easy [then deleted the 'save'] . . . and again at ~Level 30 when it looked like something out of Serious Sam.

I did Kvatch last night , and saw my first Oblivion Gate, I can't believe that I've been that close to a gate all this time and never seen it. My Char is lvl. 27. Once going through the gate , it was almost a free for all!! Melee madness!!! Take repair hammers , or get your skill in Armorer WAY up before going into the portal , then clearing the city is more madness , close combat with lots of Daedra...Once you open the gates and are able to go into the castle , boy you better be ready to rock cause there is a mess of enemies in there. I used up the last of my major healing potions , and figured out two things. Armorer & Alchemist.....gotta have those skills up. Or you are gonna be running around with some broke A$$ equipment fast , and then dead from lack of protection....and out of potions.

Good, it wasn't just me. I thought Kvatch was a bvitch. I was only level 4 though, I was able to get the gate shut, but once I entered the town, I got beat down hard. I'm gonna wait a few levels (like 10) before I go back. This game is freaking addictive.

Yeah. I mentioned in my post that it'd be a good idea to build up your armorer skills before going. I think my character is level 5 in armorer... I'll probably start carrying repair hammers from now on.

I have this combo of stuff and don't know how to have the unlimited charging capability or what they are talking about in the above qoute. Please help me out thanks.

I think you first have to capture a soul in Azuras Star because when you get it it's empty.

Azura's star is a permanent, infintely rechargeable soul gem, and the Umbra is an awesome, powerful sword with a soul trap. So, use umbra to harvest a soul into Azura's star and use it to recharge your enchanted weapons. (or to make spells /enchant weapons). Repeat as often as necessary.

If you did the Blood of a Daedra quest and gave the Star to martin, then you are out of luck. You could have got some other daedric artifact and give that to him instead. I gave him the skull of corruption. I dont like staffs except my mage's staff of paralysis.

Do you have any other magical weapons? You'll notice that they have charges on them. To recharge an item, you need a soul gem with a captured soul. Azura star acts like a permanent soul gem that can capture an unlimited amount of souls. To capture a soul, you need to cast the spell on the enemy and then kill it while the spell is in effect (and have an empty soul gem to hold the soul). If you don't have the spell, Umbra has the same effect. So if you have azura and you kill somebody with umbra, azura gets charged. You use azura to recharge a magical item that may be low on charges.
