Uhh, the 5-door hatch has been out for months.

This is the 3-door S model which was JUST announced. Big difference

Um, yeah, ok. The type R prototype was also a 3 door and as that is the only difference...

As a side note Honda dealers here are taking orders for the New Type R, so that will be with us pretty soon. I just hope they don't leave the same 200hp motor in there like they originally said they would. All other cars in this segment are now blown and have between 225 and 250hp, so Honda need to step up.

they quickly had to redesign the corolla they had coming up because what they had lined up looked so old fashioned next to the new civic they still didn't do enoughthough

yuck! I was never impressed with how Honda went back to hatchback with the type-r, but interior does look spiffy. Since Acura is going to scrap the RSX line, they should really think about moving it over to Honda or something... such a shame.

I remember reading in R&T or MT recently that the Type R hatch was NOT coming to the USA.

I had a '93 Si hatch; best little car ever.

ALL Civic Type R's have been hatchbacks.

personally, honda and toyota are going the wrong direction design-wise and nissan/infinity is going in the right direction. one of the exceptions, IMO, is the 06' accord.
