I think this will come out as a Obama victory as far as from a public standpoint, the media will of course call it a tie. Personally neither guy did great but in the end that hurts McCain more than Obama at this point in the game

I was in the ME during that war and saw scuds fall near me, believe me I would have completely understood if Israel had retaliated.
Israel had a full fleet of attack aircraft in the skies heading for the Iraqi border but the US wouldn't give them the ident codes so they risked being seen as bogeys by the coalition forces.
One big game of chicken.
They could have fired missiles back - which they did with the patriots later on, but they are defensive units.

We don't hold them back, we simply tell them when it is, and when it is not, acceptable to use the weapons that we sell (give) them. They listen because they don't want us to stop selling (giving) them weapons.

And why didn't they?
See my post right above your question.

Did Brokaw select the questions himself? Kristol said a real townhall should've had creative, off-beat type questions that a voter can directly relate to - not the ones from inside the beltway.

I think you may be right. Only one debate left, and the country's turning blue.

Patrick J. Buchanan sez John McCain won the debate.
Sez McCain was 'nicer' and Obama was too laid back.

If he had a heart attack, would Palin become the GOP's candidate?
