Well it is just like a pro bowl should be. The defense is simply dropping back into a Nickel/Quarter Zone coverage most of the time. So combined between AFC and NFC, therea re 5 interceptions.

However, the Wide Outs are making some unreal catches.

If you didn't see it, you HAVE to see Larry Fitzgerald catch the pass the Mike Vick just lobbed into no where. He literally went over top of 2 corners to get it.

Anyone have any thoughts just yet about the Pro-Bowl?

So aside from your average impressive plays, we just learned that between Santana Moss and Steve Smith that Santana is 5'10", and Smith is 5'9.75". They said that was the first thing they did when they got to the Pro-Bowl. 2 of the most explosive WR that i have seen. Along with of course Marvin Harrison

It is the best players from the NFC and AFC going against each other. It certainly isn't anything on the regular season or post season, but it is fun to watch.

Trent green just picked off (IIRC 7 total int in the game) by Derrick Brooks who ran it back 59 Yards for a TD.

Im thinking that the NFC COULD win this one. When was the last time the NFC won; its been a while IIRC.

OK, from the first half:

#1 How does Mike Vick deserve to be there? He was the 25th-rated QB in the league, and his innaccuracy is OBVIOUS. I saw him make that throw to Fitz. He made the catch with THREE defenders around him. That was a terrible place to throw the ball. Shortly thereafter he threw a terrible pass that was picked off. He clearly overthrew that receiver, and it was an easy pick after that. Then he threw an alright pass to Holt - to be fair - but Bailey was all over Holt. Had he thrown it outside more, Holt would have had a TD. Then, for a TD, he threw an absolutely ABYSMAL pass to Alge Crumpler. Crumpler only caught it because he was able to knock it towards himself with one hand and then bring it in. Way to go Alge. You suck Mike.

#2 Fvck Matt Hasselbeck. He was asked by Suzy what it was like to play with the likes of Holt, Smith, and Moss, and what's his answer? "Well, it was great to play with those guys, especially Steve and Santana. They're just incredible players," or something to that effect. Screw him. Holt is the best receiver of the three, and he's leaps and bounds above Moss who has decent hands and speed and that's it. His routes are only average, and he will never win a jump ball in his life.

Well Santana Moss just picked a huge amount of yards and got drilled fumbling the ball. Champ Bailey picked it up.

Chambers then made a finger tip grab, which was impressive.

Right now im thinking Champ Bailey for the MVP. But Santana Moss, and Marvin Harrison are both making strong cases for themselves.

Uh, you never knew that? That's two of their most defining qualities..aside from it being mentioned all the time, if you ever watch a game you'll notice that they're 5-6" shorter than most other wr's and qb's.

PS did you know Doug Flutie was 5'10"?

Lol while i respect your bias, i would definitely say that it is vice versa. Moss and Smith are probably, this year at least, the best recievers in the NFL aside from MAYBE Harrison. Chad Johnson and Holt, as well as Anquan Boldin, Reggie Wayne and Larry Fitzgerald were right up there. But Moss and Smith were simply phenomonal.

I like Santana more, attitude and just the game he brings to the field, however basing it off stats you have to pick Smith. The man took advantage of almost every opportunity given to him. Give Moss a QB like Delhomme (Brunnel was good but not quite good enough) and i think we have a tie.

Yeah i was wondering that too lol. I would definitely pick Hasselbeck and Delhomme, but, as annoying and as much as i complain about him, Brunnell really had a break out year. I would have definitely considered him as an alternate even though he is kind of old now.

Whew, Champ Bailey just upends Tiki Barber. Right now he definitely has my vote for the Pro Bowl MVP.

How about some of the hits these guys are putting on. OUCH!

From what i hear the players are having a bit of fun. Chad Johnson got to play CB (it was pretty funny watching him all tensed up). Champ Bailey wants to play WR a little. So hopefully theyll mix it up a bit.

As for the play the fans chose, well it was good for ~5 yards, but Crumpler got DRILLED at the end, so while interesting it isn't exactly the best play to choose.

I wonder what the AFC will get to use?

Now that i think about it...why is Steve McNair in the Pro Bowl. He didn't have super year by any means IIRC. But from what i hear Plummer, Brady, and Palmer were selected above him but all are injured. Personally i would take Drew Brees over McNair, but McNair has such an illustrious career that, i guess, you really have to give it to him.

Interesting comments on TO.. Saban seems like he'd be the best coach for him, but has complete denied any meeting with him. Denver doesn't seem like they're incredibly interested either.

It'd be a shame and a blessing if arguably the best receiver in the league right now didn't play next year.

I would take Moss, Smith, Wayne, or Harrison over TO hands down.

I would be happy if i never saw that jerk play again. Although, i have heard that my team, Skins, looked at him. I swear, if they pick up TO, i will switch favorite teams or something. TO is the player who doesn't deserve to ever play again, he didn't even apologize for this huge mess.

So Derrick Brooks got the MVP. I thought it would have been Champ Bailey but, Brooks INT-TD was huge.

THe one thing about the Pro-Bowl, you have to love the attitude on the field. It is all about having fun. Rod Smith got injured and the entire Defense (Yeah defense) came over to make sure he was ok. Not only that Johnson (whose side line catch was incredible) when pushed out OB's, was helped up by Steve Smith and another NFC'er. The attitude is what makes this game special.

He wasn't trying to hurt him. He clearly thought he had the ball. Not only that even came back over to make sure he was ok afterwards.

That had "T.O. to Denver" written all over it if Smith got hurt.

Lol yeah.

OK, but let me make two points - again, taking in consideration that I'm biased:

#1 Holt is still the better receiver. He's been doing it for longer, and has a SB ring (and another appearance) to prove it.

#2 To single them out like they're a step above Holt is ridiculous. Even if I grant that they're good (and I'll give Smith all kinds of props for being an amazing receiver, but all Moss really does is run faster than everyone else), singling them out above Torry Holt is ridiculous.

Ilmater, I totally agree with you. Hasselbeck is just a sore loser. Wah, you lost the SuperBowl... Tory Holt isn't a top 3 WR just because he is your division rival? Grow up... buy some Rogaine, loser.
