I'm worried about Brad Stevens. I hope Butler can hang on to him.
wtf, oliver purnell (clemson) going to depaul WTF
My initial impression is of an intelligent young coach who might realize the advantages of building a solid program at Butler over the pressures of moving to a major conference school with the attendant pressures and expectations.
what year? fellow dawg here.
Women's championship on soon - Uconn vs Stanford. Stanford is going to need a great game and Uconn is going to need to have a bad shooting night for Stanford to have a chance. Uconn has won 75+ straight games, all by double digits. Stanford is a very good team, saw them in person a month or so ago. Uconn is obviously the big favorite though.
Uconn 70 Stanford 58 be my prediction.

Our local news interviewed a number of Clemson fans, asking who they wanted to replace Oliver Purnell. They all want "that guy from Butler", although not one of them knew his name...
I also would like to see him stay at Butler to continue building their program into a more consistent contender. There are a lot of "ifs" around a possible future Indiana job, and neither Oregon nor Clemson can offer him a significantly more solid basketball tradition than what he's working on now.Well, I think Clemson would be better than Oregon, that's for sure. The local news here is having an interview with the president of Butler tonight to see what he will do to keep Stevens. Should be interesting.
I think Stevens should stick around at Butler and if things don't improve at Indiana in the next 2 or 3 years, that would probably be his job for the taking. It would be his dream job.

FWIW, Coach Krzyzewski agrees with us.

They can, however, offer him a boatload of money.
Good news for a promising young coach, Butler University, and for the state of Indiana.Butler signs Brad Stevens to a new 12-year contract:
