I'm going to keep harping on this Tennessee thing because it's the most obvious fuck up of a selection committee I have ever seen. I thought a 4 would be awesome and would settle for a 5 but a 6? Good lord maybe they should just let computer programs do this for us.

I already gave my reasons as to why UT's first match up is lame if you go from an RPI basis. Now, look at this.

What the hell? Yeah I understand that Georgetown had the #1 SoS (TN was #17) and I'm not even arguing that Georgetown shouldn't have a better seed. But based on body of work why in the heck should these two teams be in a scenario where they could meet in the 2nd round? It sucks for both of them. The committee fucking sucked this year.

I agree that it sucks they may have to both meet in the 2nd round, but no way UT should have been a 4 and the #1 SoS vs #17 is about right for 2 spots (to a 5, but not a 6). We all know the AP and coach's poll is utter sht. Last, compare WVU #3 SoS vs Duke's #11 with virtually identical RPI's (3 and 4) and you have a real WTF right there on who deserved the 1 seed. And how did FL get in??? Committee licked nuts.

In a way I don't feel bad for Kansas, mainly because I never liked them... they are the most hyped team in the country and if they're *really* this good then they'll prove it. I think they may be the best team but the murderer's row they're going to have to get through will be great entertainment. Just because you're a number one doesn't entitle you to a pansy ass schedule although the committee clearly went overboard.

/agree that they should share the seeding criteria. But I don't think only 1 spot should separate 16 spots in SoS. Let's face it, the Big East is head and shoulders above the SEC hence the SoS difference. But then again I think RPI should incorporate more than 50% SoS.

Yeah UT is going to have to prove itself and fight for every single point against SDSU and the Hoyas while other teams get to have a tea and crimpets party. Not to mention whoever wins the UT/G-Town will then most likely get Ohio State and then Kansas! WTF. Their Final Four starts during the first and second games! Also, putting G-Town in that bracket is pretty ridiculous. The committee must hate them by rewarding their toughest schedule with one of the toughest in the tourney!

Personally, I really enjoy watching KU play and they are one of the most unselfish teams out there. There are no showboats on the team and they all play well together. I'm also biased because I live in Lawrence, but still, how can you not like them? Picked a lot of upsets. I think the committee did such a bad job that "upsets" will be rampant, even though they probably won't be upsets at all.
