I decided to pick it up mostly for the $20 gift card. I thought to myself that I'd probably get it for $40... it seems decent enough and I enjoy the sandboxing in GTA, although I'm not the biggest Wild West fan.

I think I also got a $10 video game credit from the new Prince of Persia game, so the next new game will only cost me $30... not too shabby.

It really depends on which platform the game was originally developed for. We all know that the PS3 is plenty capable, but if they are developing for the PS3 as an afterthought, the game will suffer visually.

I have a friend that works "in the industry" and from what he's told me, programming for the PS3 is pretty god awful. Taking those comments, I could surmise that simply the PS3 takes longer to code for, but the problem is... if you told your management staff that you could do the game for the 360 in 10 months and the PS3 at about the same quality in 12-13 months... what would they tell you to do? Make them the same!

Mine will be at my door tomorrow... Amazon is awesome with that. They said PoP wouldn't get to me until Friday (oddly enough) with 2-day shipping, so I put it to 1-day and it's only coming from 2 states away and already shipped. Silly Amazon.

Yea I got my shipment confirmation about 5 hours ago.

I placed my order around 6:40PM EST and I received my shipping confirmation at 10:25PM EST to give you an idea. I'm pretty sure that Amazon will do next-day delivery as long as you get your order in before 4PM PST (7PM EST), although I've seen some different times, which might rely entirely on which warehouse they're shipping from.

That's one reason why I like Amazon more than Newegg... they usually tell you how long you have to order until you have to wait until the next day for the item to ship. Newegg, it's usually just a gamble (or just pay the rush processing fee) if you order after 12PM EST.

Another sandbox Rockstar game... I'm not sure why you'd like this one if you didn't like GTAIV unless you like the wild west thing. I personally thought GTAIV was great so I'm sure I'll like this one too.
