An auto target? That'd be no fun...why not put an auto target into Halo 3?

Holy crap--what a shitty experience that was. The controls are total garbage. I really wish Capcom would keep RE in the survival horror genre. I actually really enjoyed most of the previous games in the series--but now it's got a seious case of identity crisis. It want to an action/3rd person shooter and retain the intensity that the controls provided in the past.
This isnt looking good at all and I dont think this game should get a free pass just because its a RE game.

I don't know what you guys are talking about for controls being terrible. I have RE 4 on my Gamecube and the demo on the PS3. I found the PS3 to be much more responsive than the gamecube and overall a lot better than Deadspace on the PS3 which I own. There is a lot of things going on that can crab you up but I don't think they are terrible. An auto aim would be nice but that might make it a bit too easy. I found after practicing a few rounds on solo mode and getting used to the map I could have my way with it.

I think, graphics and sound-wise, the game is very good. Unfortunately, "stop-and-shoot" is pretty much every bit as annoying as I thought it could be, and using the knife is just full-on awful. I played the demo and just wished it had a Gears of War-esque control scheme (and no stop-and-shoot) the entire time.
This is not to say I think the game is awful, or that it will be completely unappealing, but it just didn't click for me. I have never played an RE game before, ever, FWIW. I _wanted_ to like it.

same sentiments i loved all of the previous REs, and 4 rocked hard. .. but im not feeling 5. i know its a demo, but still... the 2 character stuff makes it even more difficult.
