I've met some real life drummers who do really well on Enter Sandman but have trouble with easier songs too. Of course, that was on their first few times playing.

What does "heel down" vs "heel up" mean? I can't say that I remember ever lifting my heel while playing the bass drum. I do sometimes leave the foot flat though. Is that "heel down"??

Both seem equally plausible. What angle should the leg be at? When I use heel down I keep it at > 90 degrees and that relieves strain on the shin area.

I've been doing it heel down and on some songs the muscles around my shins get so tired I start missing alot.

I'll try heel up, but from what I remember moving my entire leg got tiring after awhile.

BTW I just read this morning the Pixies album will be on DLC.

The trick to not getting tired is not just heel up - it also matters how high the chair you are sitting in is.

You want to sit high enough so that even while playing heel up, both of your legs are parallel to the floor. I also tend to sit at the very edge of the seat to get better leverage.

Basically what ducci said thigh parallel to the ground.. you dont want to sit too and have your hip too flexed, and not too high and have to reach for the pedal. 90 degree angle at the hip and the weight of your leg can do most of the work. Most people make the mistake of sitting to low and having to reach out with your leg to hit the pedal. Before I switched a song like green grass and high tides would cause my leg to die!

Hm, I used to do that, but my hip muscle gets tired pretty quickly that way.

I had the same problem (in my 40s and 30 years of Martial Arts took its toll). What I did was buy a proper drum stool.

Self Esteem is awesome.

Hell fvck yeah!!! Haven't bought any RB dlc in months, but it looks like I'll be getting all those songs. I hope by "coming soon" they don't mean RB 2.

The Associated Press reports this morning that 12 tracks from The Who "ranging from 'My Generation' to 'Who Are You' will release for Rock Band on July 15."

Won't get fooled again is probably my most favorite song to play on drums, can't wait for this.

I suppose we can assume Who's Next isn't coming then.

I would have liked Love, Reign o'er Me, though. Singing that would have been epic.

Dang... a couple of songs on Who's Next will be sorely missed. Still, this is good news!

I don't think Who's Next has been cancelled, everything I've read is a delay because they can't find the masters. (On a side note, how do you lose the masters for Who's Next?)

I'm hoping that they'll find them and maybe release it for RB2 - the remaining members seem to be ok with releasing lots of their stuff for the game.

DAMN THEM, putting this right around the same time as GH4..... ARGH. I was trying to work out how to pay for GH4 and now ... well now I have to choose becasue there's no way I can afford both

I know they want to compete with each other and give the fanboys out there fodder for belittling each other, but what about those of us who really want to play both?
