I'm Still that SG1 is totally changing.
It's practically a different show now.
As others mentioned, after 8 seasons a show either changes for the better and flies. Doesn't change and dies, or changes and fails. 50% chance if they change they will survive.
I'd rather they have peacefully ended it after Season 8, rather than make it drag on and be ended under crappy circumstances.
My biggest complaint with RD Anderson moving on is that it will pretty much leave the O'Neill/Carter relationship unresolved when it looked like they were moving on to something at the end of last season.
Oh GOD!
I hope they don't make anything happen with BB and Sam, that would be horrible.
But with RDA gone, it means we either get smarmy BB crappy stuff, and no chemistry within the team, or we don't get enough emotional stuff anyway.
As good as Daniel is at the love/romance/chemistry stuff, alone he won't be able to pull it off.
RDA/Carter was needed for the extra chemistry and asumement, without him it may be horrible.
Hopefully Browder can do what the dude in Atlantis has done, and manage to be sarcastic/cool/etc without coming off as a smarmy git.
