Man I'm excited for this episode after two weeks ago - it's going to be a great ending/cliffhanger.

OK. David Chase, creator of the show, just called me and fed me the lowdown on tonight's season finale.
Don't read any further if you plan on watching the show...
1) In a surprise move, Tony divorces Carmella and makes the move on Artie Bucco. Artie is receptive and they are now live in lovers.
2) Carmella, feeling sexually inadequate as a result, goes on a wild spree and becomes pregnant by Furio, who flies in from Sicily to do the deed.
3) Meadow kills her fiance for the hell of it. She wants to me "made".
4) Johnny Sack gets butchered at the pork store. The former Mrs. Sack, all of her, feeling free after twenty years of a smothering marriage, becomes a nude dancer at the Bada Bing. Ten dollar bills are wedged amongst all the various nooks and crannies of her luscious form.

More details later, but I don't want to spoil all the surprises.

I thought for a second Tony was going to wack Christopher. It was a pretty good episode. I hope we don't have to wait another 20 years for the next season.

What a great episode. Didn't expect Tony to clean up like that, although now I don't have any idea what they're going to do for next season.

I liked Tony B's character so it was sad to see him go. Especially after Soprano told Sack to go fly a kite. And then when Sack (and his whole crew) get busted it makes it even more meaningless (I think Sack will fall and Soprano and Little Carmine will split his business up in the next season).

Man that scene with Tony B was hardcore though--just the way he stared outwards and his head wound was kind of more than usual gore for the show...seeing that little hole in the top by his temple and stuff. I thought Soprano was going to wake up and it would have been a nightmare or some stuff.

I think it was pretty boring, all they did was setup and straight out the problems and got ready for the next season.

only interesting things are when tony killed tony b, and tony's face when he saw the feds coming at johnny sacks house.

What a crappy episode. All the built-up tension, all the drama about Tony telling Johnny Sacks to piss off, all the pending violence and it all just fizzled. Christ, is David Chase afraid of things getting messy? Carmine vs Johnny, Carmine runs away just as things are about to explode. Johnny vs Tony, Tony caves just as things were about to get good. Now Johnny is in trouble with the FBI, so rather than fighting Tony he'll just be protecting himself next season.

The Sopranos copped out, it was a bunch of empty hype and hot air leading to simple solutions. Thank God there's still The Shield to watch.

I don't think Chase is afraid of things getting messy at all, rather, he continued with the strategy that has made the series so successful - the believability of it. Of course it could have turned into an all out war with 10 murders in the episode, but that would turn the show into the typical mob drama that lacks true drama. Tony "caves" because he realized how selfish he had been (apparantly Syl's little talk did some good!) in defending his ego rather than listening to his soldiers- making an incredibly hard decision that was far more meaningful than just ordering hits on the guys in Brooklyn...
