agreed, they could've put him down at the front of the train....but I guess they wanted to maximize the effects

I didn't like the first one, thus I have no plans on going to the second one. I might appreciate this movie if I was much younger, as the audience in the theatre when I saw the first one was a bunch of elementary school brats.

Yeah the passing of Spiderman was cheeze and so was the part where the little girl in the fire grabbed his hand. I laughed cause it was kinda lame..However, the movie was awsome.

but it wasn't as cheesy as the slow motion MJ run in the dress to Peter's apartment, now that was bad, as for great parts, the elevator scene with the guy talking about the suit was classic, we couldn't stop laughing, definitely my favorite part.

And lets not 4get that in the first movie the Green Goblin tells him that the people love a hero more if he/she falls. He just got his arms pulled like a peasant on the rack, so the people love him for getting his ass torn to bits

did they do anything new/interesting with the character besides bring in another enemy ? And besides the whole MJ (I think that's her name) wanting to get married to the other guy...

..... so what do you expect from a sequel?
It grossed $40.1 million on a wednesday, go watch it.
Well I asked because I've been saying all along it's just made to make more money from the character. If they don't offer something up in a sequel T2-style, then it's not worth the hype it's been given (not that it didn't work judging from that sum). Thanks for the confirmation.

I think a lot of you are missing the point, and that's likely because you didn't read the comics. The comic was always about the troubles of being a superhero, the loss of normalcy, being in love, and soldiering on in the face of pubic distrust. In many ways, the saga of Spider-Man has always been about Peter Parker, not the hero or his actions.

The scenes so many of you find cheesy and laughable were in fact very fitting. They echoed scenes found in many of Spider-Man's books and were very appropriate.

I particularly enjoyed the scenes after Parker makes the decision to quit being Spider-Man. The song was perfect.

Raimi has done a brilliant job, and the writers deserve major kudos for not betraying forty years of fandom.

I can?t wait to see the film again and again.

Just got back from seeing the film; not great IMO but definately a good popcorn flick to see and worth the price of admission.

it wasn't a matter of being appropriate or not, I just felt that the scenes were over the top and heavy-handed.

like Aunt May loosing her house. that was like something ripped out of a soap opera.

Why Doc Oc's arms didn't get pull in the machine while other metal objects did? I thought his arms are metal.

Overall, it was a good movie. The scence about overhead passing of Spiderman was a bit cheesy.

Spiderman 3 will be about Spiderman vs. The Green Goblin (Henry Osborn). It was in one of the Spiderman cartoon episodes a few years back. I want to see Spiderman vs. Venon or a combo of a few bad guys/gals.

yea i wish i could see carnage or venom, those guys were so badass. but if u see those guys in a movie, itd look too fake i think. is it me or did MJ look kinda fugly in the movie (except for the wet scenes in both movies )? in other movies she looks so much better.

haha i loved that asian lady singing the spiderman song, so entertaining!

Again, straight from the comics. People who've never actually read them or know nothing about Spiderman really should not be able to comment on what's appropriate or what's not.

#2 had a much better villian and better fighting. But it had much much more cheese.

Also can someone explain to me why that super bomb thing that was going to destroy the entire city, somehow dies once its in the water?

They were like "Theres no way to stop it. Unless... yes... the river!" And then all is solved. So does this river have special powers or something?

I didn't think they could make his swinging any cooler but they did. Definitely an awesome movie! The fight scenes were crazy good. Doc Oc was so well done, his arms looked so real and his movements in the fights were amazing. 10 times better than the first one, and I liked the first one. I liked this movie more tha RotK

Peter Parker is so skinnnnnnnnnnny then he puts on his suit and BAM..he's buff. Have you noticed how droopy Kirsten Dunst's eyes are? Oh yeah, good movie!

Jeeze, from all the reviews I've read and hearing people talk about this movie, you'd think it was the second coming of Christ!!

I dunno, spider man just doesn't interest me as a movie (LOOK, I'm not even using proper Spiderman grammar, thats how much I don't care!!), though I'm basing my blasé on this franchise from the 1st movie I saw. Thought I'm not into any of these comic book movies whatsoever.

hey, I'm just evaluating it as a movie. your average movie-goer isn't going to be immensely familiar with the spiderman comics.

and it's not as if the movies are being 100% true to the comics to begin with.
