i enjoyed the movie, but i found those scenes cheesy, plus the part where he tries to not be spiderman and they play b.j. thomas's 'raindrops keep falling on my head', and they do that freeze-frame with that big goofy smile.Originally posted by: Yossarian
omg that part was so awful.Originally posted by: Baltazar325
Oh yeah. the MJ run was bad, I had forgotten about that.Originally posted by: Chebago
but it wasn't as cheesy as the slow motion MJ run in the dress to Peter's apartment, now that was bad, as for great parts, the elevator scene with the guy talking about the suit was classic, we couldn't stop laughing, definitely my favorite part.Originally posted by: Baltazar325
Yeah the passing of Spiderman was cheeze and so was the part where the little girl in the fire grabbed his hand. I laughed cause it was kinda lame..However, the movie was awsome.

Seriously consider going with a much darker movie with Carnage as the Villain and an R rating.
yeah, like the 3 year old behind me that kept talking and whispering and screaming throughout the whole movie. I had forgotten why I stopped going to movie theatres. Thanks for the reminder kid. :thumbsdown:Originally posted by: RagingBITCH

Only an idiot would suggest turning a cashcow like Spiderman into a rated R movie and losing 50%+ of it's intended audience.
You're a friggin whack-o.Originally posted by: MisterPresident
The funniest part for me was when Doc Ock was in for surgery, and all of a sudden his arms start killing off the doctors. I couldn't stop laughing and everyone kept looking at me. Also, Ock's electrocution was quite funny as well. At first these elements seem cheezy, but I can see how it could be intentional.... I don't think the plot is supposed to be 100% realistic, and anyone who thought it would be was disspointed. The flamboyent newspaper guy was laughtastic as well.Overall this move was much better than I expected it to be.
I have a very good idea of what Spider-Man 3 is probably going to be plot-wise, and a notion of a Spider-Man 4. post to come soon.Originally posted by: loki8481
I'd love th see Venom, but I couldn't see them doing it without either a) completely re-writing how Venom came to be, or b) making a really bad movie.
Regardless, GG II will be one of the villians in the next movie.Originally posted by: darkswordsman17
Ok, thanks for setting me straight on JJJ son as Venom.
Personally, they need to get Venom in there ASAP I think. The Green Goblin, while they built it up well as being Peter's friend Harry, is just a sucky villain.
Not necessary ASAP, because if venom shows up in the next one it will most likely be too busy. more to come on this in my next post. Some things that they need to make #3 and beyond worthwhile:
Get Venom in there ASAP
There is absolutely no way there is going to be a Daredevil crossover. Period. But the interesting point is that you want Kingpin in there. If Kingpin was in there then there would have to be a Daredevil cross over, therefore, no Kingpin, no Sinister Six. There are enough enemies to cover the number of spiderman movies they will do (I'm thinking 4-5 total)Refrain from crossovers (Spidey and Daredevil for instance). If they ever even consider putting Ben Affleck in there as Daredevil I will go frickin insane. If they must do a crossover, do it with someone good, say Wolverine, maybe. Kingpin and the Sinister Six.
What is with the Hobgoblin references? There are no Hobgoblin references at all in either the first or second movies. Quit mentioning it. People are probably confusing the last part of SM2 that the Oswald kid become the hobgoblin. Incorrect as some have already pointed out, he will be the Green Goblin (2nd).Keep the lame villains to a minimum. Green Goblin and Hobgoblin anybody?
not gonna happen, as Spiderman is a cash-cow, this would kill it.Seriously consider going with a much darker movie with Carnage as the Villain and an R rating.

Alright, here's my take on what the plot of Spider-Man 3 and will most likely be and a bit of Spider-Man 4
Lets look at what significant characters have been introduced...
Peter Parker (Spider-Man of course)
Mary Jane Watson (as herself of course)
Harry Osborn (aka Green Goblin 2)
Dr. Curt Connors (aka the Lizard) (Peter's professor urging him to do better in class)
John Jameson (aka the Wolfman, or the Man Wolf) ( J.J. Jameson's son, the astronaut, and Mary Jane's ex-fiance)
That's it really, so what do you have to go on?
Green Goblin 2
The last part of SM2 foreshadows a definate introduction of Green Goblin 2 with a transformation to insanity with Harry Osborn due to his learning that his best friend is his father's killer. This pushes him over the edge and he uses the gas he found to be become super-human.
The Lizard
With Peter Parkers grades getting better, his professor, Dr. Curt Connors, gets confidence in him and start research on limb regrowth with lizards (just as a lizard can regrow its tail if bitten off/chopped off/released). Something goes wrong and Dr. Connors uses himself as an experiment to get him arm back and bang, here's the Lizard.
The Wolfman (aka the Man Wolf)
With John Jameson being stood up at the alter, he has pit up feelings of revenge against Peter Parker, but puts them on the back burner. He makes (a) trip(s) to the moon where he picks up a virus that turns him in the Wolfman. On his way back however, a organism hitches a rid (the Venom organism).
So what's the basic plot?
Through much battle with 3 different villians, Spider-Man has to kill his once best friend, Harry Osborn (Green Goblin 2). This puts much emotional strain on Peter. A antidote is found for the Lizard to keep him in his human state. Wolfman is defeated as well, but somehow has to transfer the Venom organism to Spider-man (probably toward the end of the movie, thus leading into a Spider-Man 4, where we have Spider-Man as Venom.
But of course for SM4, we have to introduce people in SM3, such as Eddie Brock (journalist for the Daily Globe, and soon to be Venom), and Cletus Kasady (aka the convict that gets the Venom organism's spawn - Carnage). Cletus Kasady might not be in SM3, but definately will be in SM4.
Thoughts?
BTW, this post was entirely original based on my thoughts of the comics, and the tv series.
quite right, I stand corrected, and edited my post.Originally posted by: Ludacris
Eddie Brock was introduced in Spider-Man one as a journalist. So I know Venom is coming sooner or later. Also, in the comic books, the Venom saga basically started in the Secret Wars series. I think it was issue 7 when Spider-Man got a new costume.
Her name in the movie was Ursula. Very odd indeed as to the best of my knowledge there was never ever an Ursula in the comic books nor the tv cartoon series.Originally posted by: mAdD INDIAN
what about that thin girl who might end up being that cat character? she got an unproportionate amount of screen time.

It's part of the package he got after being bitten by a genetically tailored spider, rather than the radioactive one of the comic books. I like the new concept better than the old one.
not bad, although I'd be disappointed not to see the wolfman or the lizard since they've already been introduced.Originally posted by: FreshPrince
with that said, there's still a chance for venom in the 3rd one...here's how I would setup the next movie...

now that would be an awesome SP3
