Star Trek: The Lense Flare Continues
Sigh. Yep. And they went obscenely overboard with the orange and blue color scheme. Seriously did they have any other colors in that trailer at all?

I blame TrumpI am amazed at all the criticism and scrutiny a new show can receive before its even viewed. This thread is just one small example of it, but all across the internet people are expecting it to fail. often for completely opposite reasons.
I've spent a little of the past week reading articles about this show and also previous series. People have been quite cruel to something that is supposed to be fun and adventurous.

(Long read, but very much worth your time, trust me.)
If the new series in anything less than spectacular then people are probably gonna kill themselves. And thats kinda sad when you consider the whole premise of every series in movie is that humanity can move on after failures and learn from mistakes and still enjoy the exploration of new ideas, and possibly challenge old ideas.

Even then, hell, most of S1 of TNG was terrible.I am amazed at all the criticism and scrutiny a new show can receive before its even viewed.
