I'm in the upper 20s right now and dropping like 5,000 credits per training skill is fun.

Fortunately, the credits scale. I blew threw about 70,000+ credits yesterday @ lvl 25 and today was back up to about 70k and that's after buying some grade 3 ship stuff.

Can't wait to get back in game.

How much do regular edition stores sell 110% speeders for? And how are you guys making money? Does it drop well enough you can get it by killing or are you basically forced to use the market to sell items to players if you ever want to get enough?

just do the quests and youll be fine money wise unless you buy a lot of stuff off the GTN. i have only sold the BoE "blue" quality items when i get them (for only 1k or so mind you) and have plenty of credits

Hmm, well that sounds a tad annoying, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there. Presumably you can gather and craft, then sell in an auction house to make money as well? Did this quite a bit in LOTRO and frankly made tonnes of money doing it; was much better than grinding through mobs for coppers and gray items.

You shouldnt have money issues as long as you keep on questing and arent buying tons of stuff on the GTN or from vendors. Just make sure to do all the heroic 4 man quests...they give good rewards, especially the range items which i still have a few from earlier levels that i just keep upgrading.

As for the cash up to 25 i just saved for the most part and had probably ~60k. now i am running two companions on gathering/crafting missions while i play as the missions/items take a good 15-20 minutes each now. They definitely start as big money sinks since the missions are pretty short time wise. but now in the 20 minutes a mission takes i've made back the 700-1k in credits it costs from mobs. I've honestly just crafted an item, then reverse engineered it. you get some mats back as well as a chance to learn new recipes. i usually do 20 "levels" of synthweaving then go train. (usually train when i ding). After i train everything i usually drop 30k or so credits. but i also am sitting at around 100k at the moment and usually make it back pretty quick.

i'd say for the "core" part of the game and just leveling and being self sufficient you can do just fine making credits from mobs and quests. And by core i mean for skillls and crafting skills. Once you start tossing into purchasing from the gtn or vendors then you might have issues.

i've found auction and private trade prices to be quite reasonable so far. the auction searching is a little glitchy, but slick like the rest of the game's ui.

Part of the prices is everyone i new and poor lol. Prices will start to rise once more people get higher levels and people have the credits to really afford items. Now is definitely a buyers market IMO

i personally hate the GTN ui. Unles sim doing something wrong you cant just search for an item by name. but you have to first go through item Type, Then Item use (ie light, med, heavy armor), then you can search by name. If i know the item i want to sell/buy i should be able to just search by name alone >.<

Well, let's just say, once I reach 50, and want my 110% speeder(assuming a higher one doesn't get discovered off a raid ), and those cost over 1,000,000 credits, are level 50 credit drops enough to get one without spending 6 months farming credits?

At that level you could do it in a week or so pretty easily I think. At 40 something i could get 200k credits in a day without working too hard. (8 hours of play). This was back in beta though so not sure what they have changed.

I guess i should say i hate the search options. the ui fits nicely.

i dont get why they thought there method was best. let me just search if im looking for a specific item, not have to go through three drop downs just to be able to. As for searching for item sin a catagor (ie pants) i dont mind going through it

I guess it depends on how well the mats or items sell on the market - I haven't looked. The problem is, you usually have one crew skill that (as far as I can tell) can only be leveled by sending your companions on missions. For me, that's Investigation (which I have with Armstech and Scavenging), and like I said I'm running behind on leveling it due to cost.

i'd like to see more numbers and controls exposed to the player. i think i would call this "information underload". the very clean, simple system they have now is good for noobs, casual players, and easy-mode-for-lifers, but i want more power.

Who gives a fuck about midnight, let people play during prime time and take the servers down at midnight and do a 6am launch.

it says on the label "december 20th". that starts at midnight east coast, 9 pm west coast. if you don't like it, write a letter to either god, george lucas, ea, or bioware. let us know what the response is.

Oh and WTF HOLYBBQQJEEEBUSBABYCRYCRAPOLA did they do to the Mandalorian Raiders flashpoint instance?!?!?! .

Hahaha ya we were scratching our heads over this one yesterday too. We ended up 2 shotting this fight, but it wasn't pretty, and the chest bugged out so we didn't even get loot :-(.

We did it at similar levels as you. I was 26 Jedi Knight Guardian Tank and my brother was healing on his commando at 25. We burned down the warrior first. He doesn't just jump away; he completely wipes his aggro table. Since I only had one taunt I saved it for when he jumped away and aggro'd on our healer. Once the warrior went down, we focused Inquisitor-BH-IA, because AE damage sucks and the inquisitor also heals quite a bit. Keep interrupts going on the BH and Inquisitor, especially for their heals. I'm not sure if the BH was healing but we were interrupting as many spells as possible. Since all except the warrior are range classes, the tank can use the boxes in the room to Line of Sight them and give the healer time to top him off. Careful not to lose aggro though!
After a few minutes of running around the boxes we got them, but ya, it wasn't pretty.

I still, for the life of me, understand the long ass server maintenance. UO did this shit EVERY night for an hour or two and it worked just fine. And each server had different down times, which were at like 3AM server time...

I guess that was just a better time, when carebears didn't rule the world.

They are launching the game across the world at the same time. Just because you are american and it is your "Prime time" doesn't mean they should cater to you. Get the hell over it. The game is down, you had your free early access, now get ready for the real game. They could have just made it a free for all at midnight tonight with no early access at all. Enjoy what you got, don't complain about maintenance before the midnight launch since the game technically isn't even out yet.

i loved that era.

5am alarm rings, wake up and go to vendors to buy regs, restock vendors, go back to sleep

I just don't understand downtime during a prime playing time. They should have taken it down earlier when a majority of their players were at work, or in the mornings like Blizzard.

Because the game is not out yet? It will officially be out in 27 minutes.

Maybe you didn't get the memo, but you don't start paying until the 20th... whatever they give you before then is just a bonus.
