Yeah, pretty much why I left. Also spent way too long trying to find either a tank or healer to do FPs, because I think most people just seem to prefer playing DPS. I think the 'trilogy' thing needs to die. I am starting to believe the GW2 hype that any group of classes should be viable together.
yup and yup! GW2 destroys it quite effectively, haha.
but my main in ToR is a tank--of coruse, I expected my class to be more along the lines of spike damage--Assassin--being, you know...what one expects something like an assassin to do. i realized soon off, though, that i'd be best off playing a sponge, and learned from others that sins are pretty much the uber tank in ToR--so I went that way.
I don't mind tanking--but i'd like to actually put out some damage, as well (like GW1 warrior can do with a mere 8 skills on a bar and standard armor).
I like playing through ToR--I like it quite a bit. But then one runs into the community, speaking charts and gear and what you must do to be "accepted" to keep doing that one thing over and over again.
This is a single player game, that should have been KoTOR3, because it simply dies when one finishes the game and starts doing this end game MMO stuff (at least with Sin, the game is entirely soloable, so no need to bother with the community)
