You have to be a CURRENT SUBSCRIBER this month in order to get the retroactive rewards.

Hence the suggestion, subscribe for one month and cancel to get your past due + 500 coins.

wow. they are true asshats left and right.

...yep. this is why ToR is the first and last game I will ever sub for. never again.

I paid those fuckwits about 100 dollars....now I can't play the game. sucks to be me, really. they won and all, but holy hell is that a terrible bargain all around.

This has to be one of the better looking free to play games out there. Curious if anyone is actually keeping their sub? I am tempted to play a bit just to see if it has improved. But the angry nerd rage on their forums kinda scares me

I have kept my sub. Not sure if I will continue to keep it or not. I have 1900 coins and nothing to spend them on. The new adaptive gear is aweful. They could have added a lot more adaptive gear...

In the end, this was an extremely dissapointing patch.

wow - F2P would seriously hinder all of my lvl 50 characters - even if I used cartel coins to purchase "upgrades". It might be worth it to just spend .50 a day to have a subscriber account....

I've downloaded this finally and am gonna have a look around. When should I expect to start noticing the limitations of F2P?

Logged in this morning. Got a bunch of messages and warnings about how my lvl 50 character will lose x, y, and z unless I subscribed. Ran around the station for about 2 minutes and logged right back out.

Ironically, I feel you ICF.

I logged in the first night just to check costs and see what was locked out and whatnot. The second night I *intended* to play some since Planetside 2 has gone dark for pre-launch stuff. I logged in, looked at the character screen, and logged out to play Borderlands 2 instead.

After having seen/done everything for 7 months since SWTOR's launch, I really realized I've lost interest in it, even casually... despite having a couple story lines to finish.

That's too bad, but 7 months is a lot of gameplay.

I just started a guy on Shadowlands but I will join another server if anyone wants to group up. I am trying to buy the Sith Pureblood out of the Cartel but it says you need Legacy? and level 10, which I am not yet. I did get a sub tho, so I will be on pretty regularly. Anyone update me on what Legacy means and if you can get Cartel Coins without buying them or making a sub payment? I expect I will need some but is that the only way to get them?

Unless they changed it, Legacy means hitting Act 2, which for most people is in the mid 30s. That lets you start accumulating Legacy levels, which come much more slowly than regular levels but work across characters and even after you hit 50.

So here is a n00b question for you guys. As you know, I've been playing this game for the story only and want to get at least the light side and dark side before I stop.

I would ask this on true gamer forums and look around but my work blocks all of the useful sites. I have a level 50 Jedi Knight and went the dual lightsaber route. Keep in mind I didn't do "Dailys" or flashpoints or all the MMO stuff because I'm not into MMO's just RPG's.

So anyway I'm at the Emperor and he is kicking my ass. First I thought I needed to upgrade my droid, since he is the only companion you can take along with you and I hadn't used him since the beginning of the game. So I spent 200k or so on him by purchasing fairly good level 50 gear on the Galactic trade network, and I also created some level 50 relic's since I had 400 artifice that I had been holding off on.

It wasn't enough, he is still kicking my ass.

Any hints or do I need to be doing MMO stuff to get better gear? I was easily beating everything up until this point and my Jedi is very well equipped. I have 400 artifice and created the best crystals for my lightsaber's as well as new level 50 lightsaber for my main hand and those relics.

By dual saber you mean you're a Sentinel? What spec are you? Last time I played Watchman Sentinels (and whatever the equivalent Marauder spec is) were pretty awesome all around. In general playing a Sentinel effectively is about using your (oh so numerous) defensive abilities to their full effect (rotating Rebuke, Saber Ward, 'cheat death', vanish, Force Stasis, leap and kick) to both interrupt and mitigate as much damage as possible.

I have no idea what the encounter you're doing is like, but I'd try Watchman. You can spec for a reduced interrupt cooldown, leap to enemies at zero range (another interrupt), healing returned on crit DoTs, and basically output pretty stupidly high damage.

get a friend.. those end stories almost all need a partner and their companion unless you are ridiculously geared.

I can still get into a game like LOTRO, but unfortunately, I don't have anyone to play with and that's where the fun is.

TOR? I just don't care at this stage. I preodered it and played Beta and was in early access and hit level 50 within a month of the game's opening. My brothers and a friend quit in late January. Unfortunately, I had bought a 3 month game time card so while my subscription lasted until March or so, I didn't play after late January.

Has anyone been able to get the security key app working on BlueStacks? I don't seem able to open the "app menu" which I think I need to get the app's ID # or something or other.

FYI, KOTOR II is $2.49 for the next 8 hours during the Steam holiday sale.

Despite the botched ending it's in my top 5 for RPGs.

Just interrupt him when he starts to use his big move, the one hit KO move. Use a simple slash on the clones as they despawn (at least when I did it) after one hit. Line of sight him as well if you need to.

Use your heroic moment to keep your health up at the start of the fight if you want to and stim up.

Iterrupts are key to some of the boss battles. Learn to pay attention to their "casting bar" and interrupt the really dangerous ones.

Besides that, you can get prototype medpacs in the GTN that will heal you and your companion, plus do a little extra heal over time. Prototype stims keep working after a respawn.

Don't buy the purple medpacs or stims you can't use those without a high level biochem skill.

If all else fails, you can ask in general chat for someone like a Jedi Consular to come with you and heal you. I did that to help a random stranger with their chapter 2 (level 30?) boss.

Thanks Dave, I would have never seen that...lol Now I can play through the 2nd part before I do all that stuff in ToR. ^_^

Oh yeah. +999. Figured everyone already knew this.

Play with the UI enough to add the target casting bar... and interrupt that sucker like crazy. The difference in almost every hard fight.

Btw, a number of Sentinel specs are built for crazy interrupt availability. Learn to use it.

Funny that this thread picks up just as I am contemplating quitting.

I'm getting burnt out on competitive pvp and probably wouldn't come back unless its for some fun group progression. Would be nice to have the old Sodalitatem guild back.
