I start the client, and nothing happens. I mean nothing - no patcher, no nothing. I try to open it again, I get "Only a single instance of this application may be run."

Today is just full of fail it seems.

it looks like i cant get into any of the servers, but they all say full except one is "Heavy". can anyone suggest a class for a noob? it looks like Merc is a good solo'er from what I read on the previous page, so i'm leaning towards that...

then there's also the "i wanna swing a lightsaber" factor...

That's why I played Jedi with my first testing weekend. I wanted to get that out of my system and flail around with a lightsaber snice I new the character would be wiped. Now I am going to try something different to see the depth of characters and what I may want to commit to when the game goes live.

Honestly if you feel like just swinging a lightsaber for a couple of days, I say go for it.

I assume you killed the process from the Task Manager and started again.

Works OK but I only have one problem, sometimes the screen goes black and it reoccurs every 5 seconds until I close it and reopen it.

Anyone else experience this?

Repeatedly. I reinstalled the client over top though, seems to have worked. All servers are full tho, so I'm SOL.

Check your logs - they're pretty good at telling you what's causing the issue [at least they use to be].

when is it erroring out [download, patching, installing an asset?]

"Full" doesn't mean can't log in. Did you check your patch notes?

I just cancelled my pre-order . The character customization wasn't anything special and the character movements just weren't as fluid as they are in WoW. I guess I just didn't really like the feel of the game. Graphics didn't do it for me either really for some reason. I'm sad since I've been waiting a long, long time for this game to finally come out. :'(

I didn't pre-order to begin with, but I'm with you. The game definitely doesn't seem to be all that polished. The controls feel "clunky" compared to other MMOs that I've played (WoW, Rift, GW, etc...). While the cut scenes are cool at first, I can't deal with that many "movies." I realize that this is personal preference and I'm sure some people love them. Graphics were "meeh." I had everything up as high as it would go with the exception of shadows (because for some reason they were blinking in outdoor areas after I got to a certain level on the slider) - very lackluster IMHO.

really? I don't know if I agree with the above two posts. maybe I havent played long enough. the game is awesome so far. I'm a jedi shadow. I was experiencing low frames but my computer sucks, so I lowered the graphics quality and its much smoother now with very little graphical difference.

i'm really liking it so far, really enjoying the cut scenes and the voice work. it actually feels quite polished to me for a beta.

edit: anyone else playing a jedi shadow? my character seems very powerful. obviously, most characters are for the first few levels of an MMO.

The devs said that their ideal was for every AC to feel that they were OP... in PvE, anyway. Not that it's a faceroll all the way through (Bio has been tuning encounter difficulty upwards), but you have awesome stuff.

I can tell you there will be a *lot* of Shadows in the game at launch. It seems to be something (along with Sentinel) that people just gravitate to.

I decided to roll a smuggler today. Really, really enjoying the class. Just got to the fleet and went with the healer/stealth spec, so we'll see how that goes. Get to do the Esseles tonight.

Must say im rather enjoying the beta. bit odd going from the starter planet to the fleet though. jedi sage is actually enjoyable for me so probably what ill role when the game comes out (what i planned to orginally as well)

the whole early part of the game is feeling OP. With my companion im just getting the group quests and for the most part just going in and soloing them. Only one i had a group for and only cause they were about to go in as iw as there so i joined. And im just a jedi sage with all points in healing.

i actually have to say though its feeling a bit repetitive. Each "zone" has been go click these boxes to do something, kill XX guys for the bonus, find this item or that item, pretty much just the same. kind of getting boring really. and leveling slowed way down it feels like. Though half of that is me alt tabbing

I feel your pain. I've been a beta tester for awhile now. I thought the latest builds would rid the clunkiness you speak of....didn't happen.

It's obvious that the Warhammer devs working on this game didn't learn shit from their previous work. I don't understand how you can spill so much fucking money into a game and overlook the most basic fundamentals of what MMO players look for. UI, smooth game mechanics, and a seamless world should be top priority. Until devs understand this, WoW will continue to hold the crown.
