I was in the last beta they had. Just tried to log in, no go. Tried to reset the password, no go. I already confirmed hours ago though so I guess I'll be ok.

I did search for the email s44 mentioned but nothing.

Installed it last night and let the data files download overnight. Now, I just need to know when it starts and I'll be there. I watched my brother play the beta a few weeks ago and it looked pretty nice on his system, which is older.

According to the devs, all classes are supposed to be capable of providing the same amount of DPS.

So no class loses DPS for other abilities that they may have? Heals, etc?

Is DICE's "lowering the threshold" philosophy being applied to everything at EA?

Or is this not a problem in some way I won't be able to understand until I play?

This was actually done last week. I added security questions to my account last Tuesday even though I wasn't beta testing.

Probably because the invitation for this weekend beta has been sent out, and everybody is logging in to confirm.

This weekend is advertised as the mother of the beta test. Tens of thousands of new people are invited, and they're all super excited to *finally* get in and see for themselves what the fuss is all about.

If I were you I wouldn't expect to get a lot of quality play time if at all. Especially not right after they opened the server (Friday 5pm, if it's the same as the previous ones). Queues will be in the thousands and crashes will be plenty.

Your best bet to try the game out with minimal frustration will probably be early morning (4-6am) when the allnighters started to crash and the early risers just started to show up. At least that's always my strategy for these type of beta/stress tests, and mostly it worked.

Weird, I just got another invite e-mail, saying I need to even though I had gotten one and set myself up a couple of days ago. No idea what it going on, I just hope I don't get screwed over amd miss out on the beta.

Ugg... five security questions? That's ridiculous. I could only come up with four. I've never been married nor do I have a favourite movie, actor, author, cartoon, car, or whatever. I don't obsess about things like that.

And if I ever get one of these questions wrong I get locked out of my account? And the question could pop whenever I do some unspecified "suspicious" thing? So I really need to find questions that there could only be one answer. Not something that my opinion of might change. Great.

That's what I do with my password. Now I have to do with it five questions. Well, I would if this was real paid account I actually spent money on. I'm not sure how this actually improves security.

Only three are required.

You do not have to have five, three is the minimum but five is recommended. It will be used probably randomly to reset your password and I know it has asked when logging into the game client as it did for me

The page said it was "incomplete" until I added all five, but it looks like it'll let you sumbit it with your answers "incomplete". Nowhere on the page does it say you only need three, so I assumed you needed them all.

Oh, and I had to give my password twice, and answer security questions three different times when I went to the WWW site to check this out. I feel sooo much more secure now that all this in place.

Actually, my guess is that ultimately you'll want to end up with a full crafted gear set. The extra mod slot in the base item you get from a crafting crit is (though maybe they mega nerfed it) really valuable, and may not be available from dropped items. All the actual stats you should be able to recreate with mod-swapping.

Current tester sentiment seems to be that ranged tanks and dps rule over melee, so trooper tank and sage caster dps may be *superior*...

The Jedi Guardian/Sith Jugg Jedi Sent/Sith Marauder are second hand citizens and free kills in PVP for the most part.

they don't have any survivability nor group utility and can be easily kited and destroyed by pretty much any other class.

I've got an L35 Marauder this build and they are still struggling.

while on the other hand BHs and Trooper and Snipers and Gunslingers kick the crap out of everyone..

it needs help badly..

and the Shadow/Sin actually tank just as well as the other classes as well and offer mroe DPS to boot.

I have heard the same on your assessment of Juggernauts which is what I WANT to be, a TANK for my team, but sounds like I will get my head handed to me in PVP...

If Juggernauts are that week, do they STILL make good PVE group mission tanks?

Commando cant really tank they are the Trooper DPS/healer tree they miss out on all the tank abilities.

Same with the BH Mercs they cant tank as well.


So right now the Alpha Dog tanks are the Vanguard and the Powertech.
The Shadow/Assassin are darn good as well.

and ALL of these classes excel in PVP right now..

I'm very dissapointed in the Saber Force classes.. they just dont have enough ways to deal with the pains of being up close in this fights..
and thier burst DPS is very low compared to the ranged that open up and take you to half health in 2 secs.

not to mention with no diminishing returns on CC's and stuns melee end up just flat stunlocked.

while the ranged bombard from afar with ranged AOEs.

Yeh they can tank there are just others that do it better at this point.

beta is not over.. and the design team says they are aware of our concerns and issues with these classes..

only time will tell if they fix them..

however be warned.. some of the team that ruined Warhammers melee classes are on this team as well..

that game was miserable to be a melee toon in..

So in your opinion, if I have group of friends that are playing Bounty Hunter, Sith Inquisitor, and Agent, what class should I be to most help them out PVP and PVE?
