just looking at the saber colors, it would seem as if yoda was a jedi consular, which would indicate that he's more trained in force usage (throwing stuff, lightning, etc) than combat, whereas Windu seemed to be all combat and not much force power usage (weapon master, maybe... dunno. purple had no class assosiation in any of the KotOR games).

purple was not a sabre color....Jackson/Windu asked Lucas for it. Purple is his favorite color.

I saw the movie today. It really wrapped up a lot of loose ends. I knew the story, but seeing it made it clearer.

As far as character development, the movie was 2:37 hours already, I am sure like all the other SW movies, lots dropped on the cutting room floor.

I was at the midnight DLP showing in Schaumberg, IL at the Loew's Cineplex...

The difference was like watching a VHS vs. watching a DVD. Very impressive, and of course, the movie was more than excellent.

It could have been one of those cases where they didn't want to know and wanted to be suprised. And if they went to anyone they'd know she was pregnant, then they'd start asking questions. anakin was sort of not allowed to tell a doc, Hey dude I am the daddy y0.

also I think Padme knew already (trembling) that one baby was enough.

In 2 years Lucas plans to release TV show, which is between the time frame of Episode 3 and Episode IV.

1 year to write a script and the 2nd year to do the filiming. He will then pass on the series to someone else.

From what I read by a poster at a SW forum.

Lucas stated many times he will not do a 789...the story got changed by books and other authors (which he allowed)...

The tv story is his chance to pass the guard. He will be gone soon more than likely and knows that the show should go on.

There is no reasonable explanation, the whole scene at the end of that fight was just a lazy attempt to explain how Anakin became the Vader we know. We'd been told it was from defeat by ObiWan and Anakin getting his disfiguring injuries from the volcano. But since when do you leave someone you love to die by burning alive, one of the most horrific and painful ways to die? NOW that is complete BS, you have mercy and finish him off, or at least try to save him from death - and more importantly - the darkside.

anakin tried to jump and attack, plus he had to get above obi there to win. High ground in a sword fight > * usually....Obi Wan was a seasoned jedi.

As a Jedi Obi Wan could not have killed Anakin/Vader once he was without weapon, he assumed he would die though.

You must of missed the part of the funeral prosession of padme where they made her still seem pregnant--they even zoomed in over her stomach that still appears to be holding the baby(s). A trick and why DV doesnt realize she gave birth or in fact there were twins.

not to mention the whole fact with the "NOOOOO" line everyone hates has to do with Sidious telling him his grapple killed her, prior to giving birth. It was Sidious's next step to guarantee he stayed dark (Padme&Luke: "I know there is still some good still in him", no one mentioned that ironic statement...Luke more than likely heard it in the womb, like Leia knowing her mom was sad.)

I was wondering that too, after the movie I told my girlfriend I guess Mace was a better fighter than Yoda since he was going to pwn Palpetine.

Ofcourse it could also be that he was allowing himself to be defeated because if he didnt appear weak then Anakin wouldnt have helped him.

Palp was never owned. He needed Anakin to kill a Jedi Master. That way it'd confirm all the 'they know you are better than them, that is why they don't make you a master'.

the story is very complex...too many here trying to make the decades and decades = 12 hours+ of movies.

OK, so we're still skeptical, but apparently the rumors about a pre-Episode I Star Wars film by Lucas himself somewhat have a leg to stand on. On the heels of the second weekend in theaters for the madly successful Revenge of the Sith comes loose talk from the creator himself about the future of Star Wars.

William Ellis chimes in with the first word on the subject:

Well, it surprises me that TFN and other sites didn't report what Lucas said at the 2nd session at C3. He was asked by a fan "Is there any chance of us ever seeing movies in the Knights of the Old Republic Era?"

His response? "Well, we have a TV series and an animated series and depending how those do, this is something we might someday visit ... but it's too far out to really commit to anything."

I posted on your forums and the official forums and it seemed to be ignored but I heard it, and 3 friends heard it and my wife heard the same thing. I know I wasn't imagining things.

Then Mark confirms the action with this follow-up:

Josh - saw your post on this and though I'd throw my 2 cents in...

Lucas, very quickly and very briefly touched on this in his second
presentation at C3. I think everyone got caught up in the TV news, but he did respond to a question about allowing other directors to make more Star Wars movies and commented that this was under consideration and that this era in particular was one that he had in mind. Nothing set in stone, but he did make it sound as if it were more possible than not.

Former TFN Staffer Chris also heard this quote and makes an observation about it as well:

Lisa and I were in the second session too. So was a friend of mine from Texas and she heard the same thing about an "old Old Republic" project being a possibility. But I wouldn't read too much into it: it seemed more like an idle thought that he was just bandying about after the questioner posed it to him.

Interesting. Again, don't celebrate just yet ... but anything is possible, which is more than we could say a week ago. Stay tuned.

Uh, remember when Anakin makes a HUGE jump from way high up on the sinking metal platform onto that little tiny robot hovering above the lava. If that wasn't a force jump I don't know what is.

Man, this movie is full of <censored>. I want my two hours back. Maybe I am too old now to watch this kind of stuff, but it only made me laugh. It's so lame - the acting and the ridiculous plot and the way it looks. The first three episodes from 4 to 6 were worthy movies, but what we got to see (1-3) can bring nothing but disappointment.

Conclusion: the movie is a failure.

Anakin also did a "force jump" in the upwards moving elevator on Grevious's cruiser.
