I went to see it today. I thought it was great, and worlds better than the last two. I'd go as far as to say I liked it better than Return of the Jedi (I always hated the Ewoks!). I thought it did a great job of tying everything together, and it actually gave new relevance and interest not only to Ep 1-2, but even to 4-6.

Same difference as in the movie...the jedi (and why Yoda knew he failed) will not kill once an opponent is disarmed (with exception, mace windu, anakin, etc). Part of this has to do with the Force deciding their fate.

In a book things are more spelled out...but I don't think the story differed that much from Lucas' 1-6...7+ on the other hand, Lucas has admitted are not his vision, and one of the reasons he is electing not to release 7-9....however, he never absolutely said he would not allow them to be released.

As other's have said (here I think), there is also a possibility of mid episode movies. Alot happened between 2 and 3 and 3 and 4 especially.

Luke found out vader was his father, han got frozen and captured by boba fett, luke lost a couple of pounds when his hand got cut off, luke meets a little green puppet.

The only wookie planet shot was in rots.

another continuity question. In TESB, while luke is leaving dagobah to go to cloud city to save han and leia, obi-wan says that boy is our last hope. But yoda counters by saying there is another. Did they cut the scene where Obi-wan says "oh sh!t, I forgot about her."?

Lucas in not even consistent in relating how many episodes were in his initial "vision", 3,6,9, 12? Depends on when he was asked. So I don't let the attempts to force continuity or the several major gaps in it bother me

Considering most jedis are trained when young, anakin and luke were thought to be too old already..during TESB, Leia wasn't even aware she had the powers aside from her resistance to the interrogation droid.

I agree, he just seemed out of place in this series..Liam Neesan and Jake Lloyd for that matter.

To me I would think getting brought into the world by those would scare me for life.

I'll go along with your rankings. I just saw AotC on TV again and that is by far the worst of the bunch. Just a complete piece of crap, other than the scenes where Obi-Wan was off by himself. Phantom Menace was annoying with the Gungun but any scene with Anakin in Clones just absolutely sucked. Bad character, bad acting, bad script.

I thought he played the character very well...TPM was slow as fock, with bad acting from jake lloyd, liam neesan. It will be interesting how much he will change TPM for the 2007 collector-dvd set. Apparently he has replaced all the yoda scenes with the digital version now. Good choice, that yoda in ep1 was lame.

really bad casting, lucas can't direct dialogue for his life, and he can't even find someone that can be more than darth zombie for an actor!

yeah the acting is disappointing, the dialogues are so fake. ep.1,2,3 are abysmal compared to 4,5,6. i think someone else other than lucas should have directed the movies, or any future star wars movies.
