Well, PEIX was keeping me afloat for awhile. Today, it took a massive nose dive.

i have never seen anything like this. up to $35 4 months ago, around $25-$30 since and then last tuesday BAM:

"Escala Group (Nasdaq: ESCL) has been advised that Spanish judicial authorities, as part of what appears to be an investigation into the stamps-collectibles sector, have collected documents from Afinsa Bienes Tangibles, S.A. (Afinsa) of Madrid, Escala's majority shareholder. In what the Company believes to be an extension of this process, the Spanish authorities are also collecting documents at Escala offices in Madrid, during which time normal operations at these locations are suspended. The Company has also been advised that certain members of the board of directors of Afinsa, including Carlos de Figueiredo, an Afinsa representative on Escala's board, are being questioned.

At this time, Spanish authorities have not advised the Company as to the nature of the investigation.

Escala is currently reviewing developments in Madrid, and the Company will release relevant details to the market as management can make informed comments."



the stock crashes to $4 and there are different class action lawsuits announced until friday. monday morning BAM:

"Escala Group Reports that Written Statement by Spanish Prosecutorial Office Contains No Allegation of Impropriety by the Company"

the price goes up 100% to $9.45

so far the bid/ask is at $10.50 this morning. talking about easy money.

I wouldn't touch that stock with a 10 foot pole right now - looks tempting but the $35 per share was due to artifical financial numbers.

Meh, I'm not *actually* trading, but I'm competing in the VSE (Virtual Stock Exchange) Kick-Off right now...

Just got started, bought 198K worth of CXTI with a 98K margin. Lucky me, it's up 6.42% as of this writing

Got it at 2.18/share, now 2.32/share.

Last fall I competed in another 2 month competition and made a killing off of TIE and got +35% total equity in 3 days.

CXTI is a great company. i am currently out but have enjoyed trading it since it was $1.16.

I've seen that many times but if the accusations turn out to be all false, and the stock soon rallies back up to where it was...then that would be a new one for me, particularly to that extent. Good luck with it, I hope you're right.

CPI = Fed will most likely continue to raise rate. Not too senseless, brother.

"Rumor" on the NYSE floor was that the FED may be looking at a 50 basis point jump in rates because of the new inflation data. Wall Street had thought that the Fed would pause but now they are worried that there will be a BIG hike.
