So, being from Northern Nevada and having seen him in college and the pros, even though I am not a UNR fan and only a slight 49ers fan, I have to wonder why there is this national perception? I have heard it quite a bit, even from some Bay Area people. Is it because of the arm kisses? That's his thing, not really any different than the Lights Out dance or Aaron Rogers' Discount Double-Check. Is it something else? Because the kid is very well-spoken and grounded, comes from a good family, he's really not 'arrogant' at all.

Its superficial. Young guy with tats must be up to no good. He also gives a bad interview, because he is obviously trying to say the right thing, so he ends up saying nothing and looks like he's either disinterested or too cool for school. And as funny as this sounds, I think people finally came around on Alex Smith and Kap took his spot.

it's got nothing to do with the tats on his arms. it's just the way i perceive him. maybe because he spiked the ball in the packer/49er game and got penalized for it. in my opinion he's an exceptional athlete.
