lol at the Flacco hate. I'm no Ravens fan but I can admit that he had a damn good playoffs and played well. Fact is he was a key contributor in winning that Superbowl.

Seriously. Flacco was the best player in the entire playoffs, and it wasn't even close.

You do know what an average is right? You take away those bombs and the Ravens arent moving the ball in key situations. In some cases thats points off the board. The difference in two of their games was 3 points, so the punts matter.

Yes, of course they matter. You know what else matters? The laser he threw to Dennis Pitta in the endzone and the perfect pass right over the defenders hands to Boldin in the endzone. I never said the 50 yard bombs didn't matter, I said that's just one of the many things he did well in the post season. If those bombs were the only thing he was doing, then his average yards per completion would be much higher.

The only reason he's able to throw those bombs is because of how well he's been working the sideline and middle of the field, forcing the DBs to respect those throws as well. For years his signature throw has been the deep out along the sideline, which is as far from a "punt" as you can get.

Yes, the highlights of this post season has been a deep bomb to Jacoby Jones for a TD in the super bowl, and a deep bomb to Jacoby in the Denver game. You need to watch more than just the highlights to really appreciate how well the guy played this post season.

You do realize that in the NE game they completely took away the deep ball and he still outplayed Brady right? His longest pass was 26 yards, and his 3 touchdowns were 5, 3, and 11 yard passes.

I watched all the games in the post season. To be honest, nothing about Flacco really stood out except for those deep punts. He doesnt make any throws that the other playoff QBs werent making, and they were getting yards without big chunk punt plays. I guess the exceptions being Manning, as his arm looked kinda weak. RG3's re-injury effected his throwing mechanics.

There was one penalty flag away from every one going overboard and saying Kapernick is the next Montana, and everyone would be talking about Flacco like they still talk about Ryan. His margin for success was fairly slim, and in my mind borders on good fortune. So I dont look at him any differently than I did before. What I take away from these playoffs was the receivers were better than I thought.

Well, I guess you're entitled to your own opinion, but you're in a very small minority made up of steeler fans and a few beloved patriot fans.

This is the only reason I downgrade Flacco's playoff run. He does this so much for huge game changing plays. He is basically throwing up punts, but his receivers get the ball. It just have a hard time thinking of it as skill.

Flacco also put it in the exact spot they were looking for it, this cannot be overlooked. Boldin on the outside always got it at his inner shoulderpad, and then on a seam got it high (the TD for example). This was all pre-planned and not coincidence. Flacco gets major props for almost always putting the ball where the receiver expected it on shorter routes.

Lets face it, with the Pat's only decent cover corner (Taliub) out for the game the Ravens smartly went to a pass-first offense and Pita or (Pain In The Ass the for NE fans lol) worked the field perfectly but Flacco still had to make those throws and he did, add that to the throws in the end zone in the SB add up to a well rounded QB who is in fact playing at the "elite" level entering FA, roll out the brinks truck, were talking 18-20/mil/yr to sign him right now...
