'79, when the Steelers and Pirates both brought home championships to Pittsburgh.

That's pretty dam amazing. Especially the way NE won w/ all of the injuries they overcame, and Bosox coming down from 0-3.

The NFC wasn't that bad this year as the Super Bowl proved. The problem is the weaker teams in the AFC are terrible so the good teams all get 6-8 easy wins every year. The one good thing about the Pats being in the Super Bowl under Bill is you know it will be a good game!

Mad props to TO for the most courageous performance ever given in sports. Too bad he is stuck on that team, because if anyone deserved to win last night it was TO...and this is coming from a former TO hater!!! lol

Yup... and we actually did it in the same fashion as Pittsburgh too, with two consecutive Super Bowl victories bookending a World Series title (the "two in one season" feat isn't quite official if the Bowl and Series are won in the same calendar year, since the Super Bowl is actually for the season from the preceding calendar year). Steelers won the Bowl in '79 for the '78 season, the Pirates won the Series in '79, and the Steelers won the Bowl again in '80 for the '79 season.

I've hated him for 3 years. Even after 4th and 26.

Well then you're an exception, congratulations. I remember last year when everyone refered to him as Freddie Bitchell, then 4th and 26 happens and they love him, then they start hating him again, then he scores 2TD's in a playoff game, suddenly he's the X factor, now they hate him again.

Just cut him for christs sake, he's a nobody who talks like he's Randy Moss.

Not according to ESPN.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Medical science might need to do a case study on Terrell Owens. He might have made the greatest recovery from an injury in 39 years of the Super Bowl.

It was amazing IMO, on par w/ Curt.

I liked Mitchell until he ran his mouth last week to fire up the Pats. He won't be on the team next season, Philadelphia will get a marquee receiver to help Gator Arms (pinky) and TO.

My favorite part was that he called out Rodney Harrison(not a good idea) who ended up with more catches. Beautiful.

I barely watched the ALCS but not to discount what Schilling did, football is a bit more physical and having to run and cut with TO's type of injury is right up there.

Yeah, every single time he came on last night...I was thinking he's part gorilla...geeze those are huge hands.

Have you ever seen Deacon Jones? He's got tree roots for fingers - they're all huge and knarley. The mic looks like a popsickle stick in his hands.

He really made some bad decisions last night. It was hard to justify some of the throws that he made.

Not to take anything away from TO but his ankl.e was repaired and he was recovering. He just made a fast recovery. On the other hand Schillings injury wasn't repaired it was just trussed up so he could perform. Both risked it all though for the team!

We want the average American IQ to go up, not the Canadian's.
