Good game, at least for Seahawks fans! I was nearly commotos the second half. Made a ton of nachos and wings; ate all of it and a few beers. Had to be a million calories.

Man congrats Seahawks, played perfectly. Russell Wilson total class act.

Peyton, did a nice job setting another record even if for an epic loss.

But the rest of the Broncos.. wow what a failure. O-line and Del Rio should just be let go right now in the locker room and Champ please retire, you are too old and slow.

Why? He has no one to work with. He didn't pick the players.

How do they decide who the visiting team is and who the home team is?

It just rotates between the AFC and NFC every year.

Although it wasn't much of a game, I can't get enough of the Peyton face and him (and his brother, although he does have those 2 damn SB's) losing.

I had no doubt the Seahawks would win, but I assumed it might be closer scoreboard wise due to garbage points at the end of the game. Seattle played hard even in the last few minutes. I dont remember this kind of beatdown in a Super Bowl since the Raiders lost, but that was understandable due to Gruden building that offense. I think 5 out of the 6 NFC playoff teams would have beaten the Broncos. The defenses in the NFC are just on another level.

The greatest playoff choker of all time saved his best for the last. Manning "legacy" is secured - forever!

Well that was pretty fucking hard to watch. It just shows how a physical defense ready to play can shake an offense that relies so much on timing. Seattle defense played a great game and easily won that game.

I will say that I don't understand some of the people blaming the Denver D. They did a pretty damn good job of containing Lynch, and only let Russell start scoring after the game was lost and things were hopeless. This was 100% not understanding what Seattle defense was capable of. They had great tackling which prevented either Thomas from getting yards after catch. They disrupted routes enough to ruin the timing of the long pass. They also got in Manning's face enough to cause tips and INTs.

Of course the Broncos were in "one dimensional" mode from the second quarter on and with 14 rushing attempts for a 1.9yds per carry it was obvious they were not going to run it on Seattle, hence the 34-49 passing by PM. I'd say he only made 2 mistakes in which the pass rush had caught up to him and he tried to get it away anyway which resulted in the picks but those didn't cost Denver the game, they F-ed up in every phase, special teams, defense (although they were OK in the first half), ball security. The single biggest thing to me though was how Seattle never let Denver's offense get into any real rhythm and disrupted the timing so often. So you have a lot of meaningless completions, most of the 3-5 yrd variety, that's all the time Seattle's pass rush allowed PM to do..

Their tackling was terrible. The pass interference in the end zone was stupid. The game was over as soon as it started because the offense was worse than inept, but the defense certainly did nothing to keep them in the game.

I loved it! I hate the Broncos.

Me too. They're my #2 most hated team...right between Oakland and SF...

The game wasn't the least bit boring for us SeaChickens fans...

I loved the opening play safety. That really set the tone for the whole game.

I really wish people would make an attempt to understand football before labeling someone a "choker", first off you have to tip your hat to Seattle's defense, you can't pass the ball if your guys are covered or your getting plowed by a 300lb lineman, second thing is Denver screwed up on many levels during this game, kickoff coverage?, ball security?, tackling? to blame a loss on the QB and slap "choker" label only puts on display your complete ignorance of the game.

Losing the game wouldn't be a choke.

Not even showing up? That's a choke.

You cannot be in the conversation for "best QB ever" and lay a turd like that in the Super Bowl. Everyone is so gaga about Peyton's supposedly mythical ability to read defenses and get his offense into the right play....oops, so much for that, at least in the big game.

Peyton is officially off the list for the Mt Rushmore of NFL QB's. The "greatest ever" list starts with Montana and Brady, then there's a step down to the next level. Peyton might have a good argument for being on that second level, but he has forever forsaken his claim to the top tier.

this article gives me hope.

please think about it.

What it tells me, is that with the glut of lawyerin people in this country, my suit against the Denver Broncos for failing to provide adequate entertainment, and outright neglecting to prepare themselves for the game which they had every right to compete in, and thus subjecting me to 3 hours of nauseatingly poor distraction, has legs.

Think I can pull 6 figures off of Denver's utter shittiness?

Worst Superbowl I have ever seen.

no wait...

worst football game I have ever seen.

Always the same excuses, every time. Its the offensive lines fault (the same line that allowed Manning to sit in the pocket all day and throw 55TD and had fewest sacks). Its the defense fault. The other team is mean. Manning receivers are being inappropriately touched. Yes, we heard this all before, every time the "messiah" chokes in the playoffs, which happened way too many times.

Truly great players (Brady/Montana) made things happen. Stat hoarders like Manning and Marino don't.

Numbers don't lie:

Regular Season W-L:
Manning 167-73 .696
Brady 148-43 .775

Playoffs
Manning 12-13 0.478
Brady 18-8 0.692
Montana 16-7
Marino 8-10

We were long overdue for a bad Superbowl game, we were very fortunate to have so many GREAT back to back Superbowls for such a long time.

This is just sad for Peyton, it's going to play a huge part in his legacy, perhaps deservingly so.

At least the game was unaffected by weather!

This is what I was thinking the entire game. I am so conditioned to shit superbowl games, despite that history being more than a decade ago, that I STILL have that feeling that that game will invariably suck.

It's not logical, but when you compare 48 some championship games to the 7x playoff games that have ever happened, much less final season games in that time, the one championship game will invariably come out with an unfavorable weighting of shit games.
