How many "should" he have won with Indy?? with a better defense probably 1-2 more, it's a team game folks, people get all caught up in the hype of a single player but in reality it's a team effort to win or lose a championship. .
I believe you misunderstood. I don't think Manning deserves any of the wins he doesn't have.
I was talking about the others who think simply because Manning is great he deserves more accolades (and SB wins), when in reality, he and his team, haven't earned them. Does he deserve to win this SB to show all the naysayers wrong? If he and his team show up and play better than Seattle, yes, if not, no.

Manning's performance yesterday was as magnificent as it was systematic, cold, calculating and robotically precise. I haven't seen anything like that since Joe Montana.

In fact... forget about Brady vs. Manning -- a mostly ho-hum anticlimactic postseason game -- Manning vs. Montana would literally be mind-blowing.

Anyway, I look for a close Super Bowl till the second half where the Broncos pull away for the win. Broncos 37 Seahawks 20.

I was hoping it would be 49ers vs. Broncos. SF got shafted by some bad ref calls.

So I am Denver all the way.

most games get shafted by bad ref calls. the main reason sf lost was because kaepernick threw interceptions. and I was damned happy he did.

And WalMart pants!

I hope Seattle wins, just because I like Wilson more. Manning had his time, and he couldn't get it done more than once. It is time to pass the torch, old man!

Now, I think if the weather is bad, Seattle will easily win. They have the running game and the physicality on defense. If it is clear skies, I'd give Denver the edge; and it would fall entirely on the Seattle offense to be able to keep pace scoring.
Moreno actually has a higher average per carry than Lynch and Ball is doing well also. Denver's running game is good and since no one seems to know this, Colorado in the winter is also known as COLDorado. These guys have played in sub zero temps here this year, Seattle shuts down the city when it snows there.

For the Broncos run defense, they stopped the Pat's "Power Run" and they stopped Woodhead just fine last week and Jamal Charles was limited in those 2 meetings also.

What are you people paying attention to? Sports headlines? the "Experts" that gabber on the TV? Peyton had a 400 yard game in freezing temps just last month.

Yea, good points, but slinging food at someone who has just sustained a massive injury being carted out is a new low. In the Schaub deal they even went to his house for Christ's sake, it's a goddam game people, why do you have to turn into F-ing animals over it??
There are a lot of animals in "humanity", a couple asshats slinging popcorn yesterday shouldn't surprise anyone.

Not to condone or dismiss it, but this pales in comparison to Malice at the Palace or some of the football riots in Europe.

I just watched the video of "Malice at the palace", damm, I forgot how ugly that whole deal was, damm near a full-scale riot..

pulling for Seattle, but after last two weeks of play, I think Denver can't be stopped. They may not roll all over them, but no one seems able to stop Denver when they need a first down.

Seattle only rushing 4 could prove interesting and this might be the best matchup, but these days, PFM just seems to move the ball at will. Their D also looked astonishingly good against NE.

Seattle has to get a big game from Lynch and no mistakes from Wilson, and if the D can manage to keep Denver on the field an ~equal amount of time, then Seattle has a chance. I just don't see that happening right now, though.

Percy Harvin may finally play a full game for the first time this season, as well, although his role may be diminished if it does snow. KJ Wright will also be much closer to 100% than he was Sunday. I predict the hawks to roll.

No way, he should be featured during media week.

Sherman is way smarter than the people commenting on his interview. Yeah let's sanitize football for the wussies further until it starts to resemble backgammon.

Couple more tidbits;

Following is list of teams that could be selected from for hard knocks if there is no volunteer.
Chicago Bears
Jacksonville Jaguars
New York Giants
Oakland Raiders
Pittsburgh Steelers
St. Louis Rams
Buffalo Bills
Arizona Cardinals

Goodell also mentioned eliminated the PAT kick. Instead may give a TD as automatic 7 points and allow team to elect for a 6 point TD and go for 2 point try.

He also mentioned that they may allow penalized hit plays to be reviewed. Imagine this would be an automatic review similar to scores/turnovers.

I'm kinda with Belichick on this one -- PI calls are game-changing calls and should be reviewed as long as the coach has challenges and timeouts.

I'd go a bit further - any automatic first down penalties should be reviewable.

Honestly I don't mind if the PAT is made automatic when the make rate on it is so high anyway. I think that'd be a step forward, though kickers might take offense lol.

And I'd rather see reffing centralized almost. Like put half a dozen refs on the field, they throw flags when something may need penalized and the central office can see all the fancy camera angles on it and make the right call. Or just let refs work like they do now but give them an open line to someone in a booth somewhere so they can say "Hey, I saw PI. Can you confirm?". I think it's way more important to have the right call.

Don't think they'd ever review PI plays, too much judgement in the moment there. Plus if you could review a called PI, why not allow them to review one not called for a flag.

Go Broncos!

I believe the coaches should have two challenges for whatever. Penalty, wrong call, etc. It's only two (unless they get them right for a third) so its not going to automatically slow down the game much more than it is now.

Well, after watching Denver and Manning dismantle NE, I'm sort of swayed towards Denver. Manning's passing was pinpoint accurate if not the prettiest passes ever...some of his passes almost looked like fluttering ducks but they almost always ended up in the receiver's arms.

What I found interesting was the betting line opened with Seattle being the favorite but within hours had reversed to Denver the favorite.

We shall see.

yes, thats what i meant. everything can be challenged - if the coach believes a yellow flag was not thrown, then throw the red, demanding the yellow, LOL.

my point is - when the technology is available, why not use it? a lot of calls could be correct if the refs had access to slow-mo, multiple angles, etc.

Met KJ during the Family Combine the Hawks had at CenturyLink in June. I actually beat him in the long jump (of course he slipped and landed on his ass, lol).

He seems like a really cool guy, hope he does well.

The bad ref calls are the only thing that saved Seattle against San Francisco. It was suppose to be a Kaepernick vs. Manning Super Bowl.

Broncos all the way.

Bad calls both ways, chief.

And the refs didn't make kap forget what color his receivers were wearing.

Yeah, they weren't the tightest spirals for sure. I'm not sure if that's why D Thomas had problems bringing some of them in or if it was just him. He seems to be the most drop prone on the team recently for some reason.
