This is an intersting comment on the blog that I hadn't thought of:

Perhaps the reason that Russel got so upset in the finale of season 19 was that he knew he didn’t make the final 2/3 of season 20 and so wasn’t going to win either season.

Good point. I was wondering that myself. I don't know how the two seasons overlapped, as in filming the next while the prior aired.
On a related note - I originally figured Russell had turned immunity over to Parvati because he'd failed the popularity contest in the previous season and was trying to play the good guy this time around. But now I'm thinking Russell didn't know the final outcome of his first season at the time.

I love the preview of next weeks where it shows the stupid things people have done and then it shows JT talking about giving Russell the immunity idol since they think there is a girl alliance.

JT and Russell are really the only ones left I cared about but Russell is easily the better of the two.

Hmmm... Parvati and Danielle voted Coach and Russell voted Courtney. Interesting.

Also, during the immunity challenge, I love how the camera was zoomed when Amanda was going underneath the obstacle and when she was wiping the mud off her boobs. Hot!!!

Seriously, why didn't Sandra, Courtney, Coach, and Jerri get together and boot him tonight? It's hard to watch people for unknown reasons let the obvious threats linger from week to week.

Maybe Russell thought about that, but there is absolutely no way that Coach will vote for him(for the million) the way he operates. Taking out his best buddy Tyson and then Rob made Coach UBER pissed. Something that I'm sure in Coach's mind is "unforgivable".

Watching the teaser with JT talking about giving Russell the idol, I hope that is editing manipulation because if that comes to pass...

This would be epic if he gives the idol to Russell, who then pockets it and uses it to get rid of JT after the merge.

I think Russell will have a good chance aligning with Colby, who's got big trust issues with JT (expressed in 'secret scenes' posted today), and doing so will allow him to penetrate the JT/Rupert alliance. Something that Russell has been great at is avoiding alliances with snakes and using people's need for 'trust' to his advantage.

Russell admittedly 'threw his away to courtney' with his last words, 'I hope it works.' (voting vid at cbs.com)

I thought this was to 'appease' daniella, who wanted courtney out, and let parvotti do his bidding to send coach home (and let her do damage control with daniella, since she probably trusts parvotti more than russell).

But it turns out Daniella heard Coach talking that day about getting Russell into his alliance with JT and Rupert, so her distrust level skyrocketed.

There was one other scene that comes to mind where Coach held a christian ceremony with Russell to strengthen their christian foundation as well as trust amongst each other. They hadn't wanted to play the 'christian' card, but according to Coach, Russell initiated it (according to Russell, coach initiated it, lol.)

Coach's last parting words to the camera were, "I just made my bed."

There are also 4 Ponderosa vids up of Coach being the first to get there. Summary, he's eating like a king, while at the same time really pissed at his tribe's choice to vote out it's strongest players and completely "disrespecting" the game. He's especially pissed at Russell at this point.

I can only hope the villains vote out Sandra soon, she is so damn annoying.

I thought it was hilarious in the beginning of the episode when all the villains got back to camp after the vote. Coach is talking about how everyone who voted for Rob was a coward and just wanted him gone....what about Mr. Dragon slayer? The man who couldnt bring himself to vote for Russell or Rob and had to throw is vote away?

Sandra just hates everyone who isn't her and is terrible at challenges, so I don't know how she's still around. Villains just want to keep all the weakest people on the tribe for some reason. Being Villians they don't really care about the team and are much more worried about winning individual challenges after the merge I guess. Coach said people are probably laughing at the villains tribe...yep - I do like Russel though so hope he sticks around.

Russell is freakin good. Like him or hate him he is one of the best players to date.

That said, I have JT in my Survivor pool at work..so hopefully Russell doesn't line him up as soon as they merge.

nah it was not as bad as eric's move, nothing will ever top that.

but still it was pretty stupid.

and that move right there pretty much solidifies that season 20 was filming during season 19 airing, because if anyone on the heroes had seen russel's play of season 19, no way in hell would they give him an immunity idol.

'i don't even have to find idols now, i got people giving them to me. you don't give the villians your idol, especially if his name is russel hanz!'

Ok, dumbest move by a player/team ever! Ever!

Now, with that out of the way, the only way I see the Heroes recovering from that blunder is to pull Sandra to their side (which looks to be pretty easy) so they have 6-4. They could also try getting Jerri to flip but its not needed. Next, they would have to convince both Parvati and Russell to play both their idols at the next tribal council. The villains will vote who goes home, but that leaves the Heroes with an advantage of 5-4 and no hidden immuny left in play.
