I respect JT for one simple reason. The handshake with Russell. It was classy. He got played and he knew it. Instead of pouting he acknowledged the move and with his head held high, left the game. JT went out with a bang for sure. Many will say he made the dumbest move in the history of Survivor, but in my book it’s how you finish and JT finished strong.

I noticed this and I too thought it was very classy. The game is called SURVIVOR, people work together but eventually someone is going to get played because there can only be one winner. JT knew this, he knew he got played fair and square and instead of bitching about it, telling everyone to fuck off and just sulking away, he congratulated Russell and left with his head held high. Not too many other people would walk out like that after getting played the way he did.

Agreed. Some people take it way to seriously. JT said from the beginning that he was going to play this more like a game and less like real life. He realized he was bested and left gracefully. He came across very well.

JT didnt make a dumb move, he made a risky move. It cost him but it could have made him won if he was right. Parvati is amazing.

Ya, the more I think about it, what JT did wasnt dumb or stupid, it was a gamble. No one there knows who Russell is, none of them know what we know. All JT saw was a guy on a team with all girls and assumed Russell was in trouble. JT took a gamble but it backfired.

Survivor’ contestant accused of shoving woman

Russell Hantz of ‘Samoa’ and ‘Heroes vs. Villains’ charged with battery

updated 7:00 p.m. ET April 23, 2010

LAFAYETTE, La. - Police in Louisiana say "Survivor" contestant Russell Hantz is charged with simple battery after being accused of shoving a woman to the ground.
Lafayette police say Hantz was booked into the parish jail early Friday after the incident in downtown Lafayette. The woman was not seriously hurt.
Officers on patrol nearby were flagged down and interviewed several witnesses. Hantz was released later in the day. It could not be determined whether he had an attorney.

Hantz was runner-up in the "Survivor: Samoa" series and is currently on the series "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" on CBS.

Story out this morning is that the alleged victim says it never happened. Cops hauled him off because they had a witness statement saying otherwise. Also says he was partying near a bar he (Russell) owns.

I still say you have to step back and look at the bigger picture.

5 Heroes, 6 Villains. They say - IF the villains lose, they will give Russel the Idol and try to sway him after the merge.

In their scenario, it's 5 heroes, 5 villains, and if things work they way they all suspect, they will have Russel's vote, making it 6 to 4 ...

But, instead of taking what you call a gamble, and I call a stupid move;

villains lose - now it is 5 heroes, 5 villains - who cares if it was Russell or who it was?

You still have the idol in your posession and you use it with the people you trust to get a villain out in the first post-merge TC ... yes, that can backfire too, but it's a much more solid strategy than the silly move JT made.

Using JT's assumption that there was an all-girl alliance going, then Russell would be gone at the next tribal council, leaving Parvati, Danielle, Jeri, Courtney and Sandra. Now, if JT assumes that Candace and Amanda will align with the girls, then it will be 7v3. JT still has the hidden immunity idol but the girl-alliance can split their votes 4-3 and knock one of the guys out.

But if we assume only Candace flips, then it will be 6v4. The girl-alliance can split their votes but it wouldn't do much good since the "Heroes" would have one more vote to boot one girl from the girl alliance.

Of course, Parvati could play her hidden immunity idol as well.

Another crazy episode. I am really surprised Sandra voted for Amanda.

Anyway, I am glad she is gone but I will miss he good look. Her "I have the weight of the world on my shoulder" look was getting on my nerves.

Candace is a dumbass. After learning that Russell is a liar from the last vote, she believes that Russell will take her to the final three.

Colby letting Danielle keep the clue. What dumbasses...

CBS must be fixing this b/c these people can't be this stupid.

I have no idea why Amanda just didnt read it quick and then give it to Danielle.

Yes that was completely stupid. And for Colby to side with Danielle was beyond stupid.

Russel is still in control but he makes mistakes and Parvati just loved to rub it in.

I didnt see that as making a mistake. You are assuring youre safe another 3 days. Russell needs to start thinking of taking Parvati out soon cause she will be beat him. Getting rid of Amanda was indeed a smart move though.

I'm not surprised. She wasn't certain that Candice was voting with the Heroes so there was no reason to expose herself as a flipper. She made a smart move that will keep her in the game longer.

As for Candice flipping, that was just stupid. I thought she was smarter than that.

Sandra is a complete utter moron. Did you see the way she was trying to build the house of cards? That should give you an idea of her intelligence level right there.

And Candice, another idiot, falls hook line & sinker for Russell's BS when she had a chance to put her own alliance in the lead.

Doesn't matter though, Russell is not going to win any final vote. Nobody likes the guy, they all think he's a troll. And it's not only his personality, it's his looks. He's a short, fat, bald, ugly guy... of course none of that should matter but just like in the real world, it does. The final vote is as much a popularity contest as anything and he's not gonna win that among those people.

Colby shows again he does not want to be there by doing nothing about the hidden clue.

The very least they should all had read it, especially colby since he got everyone there by winning the challenge even if it was a pointless one by the type of challenge it was and by the kinda crappy reward.

i was talking to my wife last night about colby....

having watched season 2 recently, it is just odd how different colby is. in season 2 he was a big time powerhouse and the camera was on him like 24/7 the entire season.

this season it is as if he is in the background the entire season just not giving a f about anything.

sure it's 10 years later, but i mean he is like 33, it's not like he is old.

with that said, russell is still the man. i agree that with the way he plays it will be hard for him to get enough final winning votes if he makes it to the end, even though I think he is playing the game better than anybody else. it's just that everybody else takes it personal when they are voted out and don't realize that it is just a game. but that is the big time social aspect of this game.

i still think if russell makes it to the end that JT will give him his vote, simply because JT seems like he is not bitter at all and realized that he was just outplayed.

If Candace stays with the Heroes, she would have gotten 4th place maybe higher. By flipping to the Villains, she ensures herself at best 5th place. Great thinking there. If she really thinks Russell is going to take her to the final 2, she's delusional. Why would Russell or any other villain want to take a Hero when the jury is 4/12 former Hero along with 3/12 former Villain anti-villain (Coach/Courtney/Sandra)? The only one I see voting for Russell is JT.

I agree that Colby is done. He didn't even backup Amanda on the hidden immunity idol clue. He doesn't try at the challenges. I don't think they even showed him once during the house of cards challenge. He's pathetic. I believe he was the first one out at the "pole stand" challenge.

Next week will be interesting. Let's see if the Russell-Parv alliance will be broken with Russell's latest move of hiding the hidden immunity idol from Danielle and Parv. The way I see this shaking out if there is a breakup is Russell, Jerri, and Candace. Parv and Danielle will try to woe Rupert, Colby, and/or Sandra to join them.
